I really wish they would rerecord this song. Her voice has improved so much over the past years and all of her Ice Queen live performances have been so much better than the original recording.
No, there's some differences. For example, during the course: "Whenever she is raging/ She takes a life away/" In the live version, Sharon sounds like she's singing "Whenever she his raging/ Take a life away". I know it's a minor nitpick but it's noticeable.
I'm 21 and i'm for sure this is one of the best singers in the netherlands/world. Not many people can do this on this level! Damn her voice is like heaven. Every hair on my body is up! Need more singers like sharon.
I remember when this would play at a local radio station here in our country. This is one of the songs that would give me goosebumps every time. Thank you DJ Cleo miller (who ever you are and wherever you are now) for introducing me to this kind of music. 😁 Miss the good old days when internet was not that much accessible and you have to wait next week for that next rock radio show to hear them again be played while discovering new artists, new genres and new songs. Damn, those were the days..
True talent sounds the same live as it does recorded. Sharon is flippin' amazing in this, wow! Sounds EXACTLY the same as the studio version! 👍👍👍 Also thanks to Mada G. for introducing me to this wonderful song back in 2010 or so. Always makes me think of you. Wish you well wherever you are these days! 😊🐕😊
It's the perfect blend of heavy-metal raw power and gracious, melodious almost child-like fairy tale wonderment. Give brazilian band Angra's Holy Land album a listen too , if you'd like! Also, they are heavier and much faster but another band that does this metal-fantasy blend to perfection is Rhapsody of Fire. They get even heavier later on so I'd suggest the early albums for something closer to Within Temptation.
The prettiest lady inthe world..!! The most angelic voice inthe world The most insane is she is singing this very very difficult song to sing while jumping. What next.? Iam Sharon's fans for almost my entire life since i was barely 10 years old, the Swan Song is my top favorite following by Memories, these 2 songs are PURE GOLD.
I went to the UK to see them with a friend, we both love music, true music, not the shit people listen to nowadays, and even we know what WT was, we were speechless...I liked to see the WT and Evanescence, but then Covid came.
Every time I see a live performance I'm disappointed. How is it possible that seeing this I was actually very impressed? It's almost an improvement? It's like she got better over time.
