Season 6 Episode 1: In Richmond, Virginia, two masked men who were robbing a bank escaped after opening fire on officers responding to the call. When the FBI arrived, agents found one bank teller dead, another wounded; the bank's security guard had been shot four times, yet was still alive.
The FBI Files is an American docudrama that takes a look behind the scenes of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's crime laboratory.
Real FBI cases are recounted through reenactments and interviews, due to the sensitive nature of the show, viewer discretion is advised.

It happens a lot in the USA, and it could be just going shopping, or out to a concert, or to church, etc. Hell, sometimes the guy just walks in the bank and executes everybody in sight. See the story out of Sebring FL that got practically NO ATTENTION last year, when Zephen Xaver walked into a SunTrust bank and executed five employees, and one customer. All were women. Of course nobody really knows what his motive was. He only took innocent lives.

The security guard showed the highest level of courage. Knowing he had been shot and disabled by that, not knowing the potentially mortal nature of his wounds, he went back to confront the robber while knowing he was facing a high capacity high power rifle with a pistol. That's Congressional Medal of Honor material. "For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty."

@@peterborg3340the gun jam didn't have anything to do with the robber "holding it wrong". The pistol, a Lorcin 380, was known for jamming. It was a manufacturing glitch that many owners of that particular gun complained about.

In the end these guy's killed, blinded, and psychologically damaged those innocent individuals in the bank that day for "NOTHING." These guy's looked at the people in that bank as nothing, I really wonder what happened in their lives that made them so cold hearted not that it excuses anything they've done, but I would like to know what goes into the make up of those that turn so evil. It's just to bad these guy's weren't locked away before they could end the life of that poor women and take that man's sight from him, and I can guarantee you that man didn't only lose his sight that day. RIP to all the innocent souls whose lives have been stolen from them for nothing more then want of money.

Yeah, TEC-9s are notoriously unreliable. They're complete garbage but they can put out a lot of rounds and were dirt cheap at the time so gangsters and amateur criminals loved them. The way the handgun jammed is called a stovepipe, it happens with certain handguns when you don't hold them firmly enough because the slide doesn't go all the way back. It's a good thing the consequences of both mistakes happened to show themselves at the same time.
