@Anthony Marinac Seriously together with a lot of time spent watching your videos, reading the Acts, some choice advice from a Psychologist & a legal sec we have been herd. After 8 months my mate has regular unsupervised visits with his boy. 2 communications & design students took the time to detail the facts, express our concerns, make clear connections in our evidence and make clear and reasonable requests. Hi Vivian :) If I were the prosecutor I would certainly be objecting to those questions. It might be relevant to the offence if, for instance, a sex worker was assaulted or raped while at work - for instance, let's say a client turned up at a solo sex worker's home and she decided he wasn't a client she wanted to see, but he continued. Or say he was a client who stepped outside the boundaries and then refused to stop when she withdrew consent. In those cses it might be relevant just to set the scene. However the mere fact that someone is a sex worker is irrelevant. A woman has the absolute right to strip for a living, post a million nudes online, have sex with a hundred guys for money, and then STILL to say no to man who seeks her consent for sex.

Bob, the difficulty with that argument is that a person is entitled to say yes to 75 people, 100, 1000, and yet still to say "no" on any individual occasion and have that respected. Regardless though, rape shiels laws are now a long-standing fixture of evidence law and I cannot imagine that changing.

Hi Nicky, if you have any proof of corrupt lawyers in Queensland, or if you are unhappy with service you have received from a lawyer in Queensland, then rather than proving it to me, the best thing you can do is get in contact with the Legal Services Commission. They have the powers (which I don't have) to do something about anyone who is not meeting the standards of the profession.
