My goodness! That trail looks challenging enough in the dry daylight, let alone the wet dark! Karl, your middle name must be perseverance. Thanks as always for sharing the adventure!
Karl I salute you both what an amazing feat you both should be pleased with your achievement I’m paying a bloody bbc TV license and I don’t get this kind of entertainment excellent video mate
Absolutely brilliant, blown away as you said it is probably as good a view as any I have seen from a Munro Great work great footage of The Land of Smiles
Hello Karl , my hat is off to you two ! Looks like a wet and slippery trek , I thought Nick was going to give up but he is a trooper as well . Thank you for a wonderful video and super 4K picture ! Enjoy and stay safe guys ...
To say im out of breath following this trek is an understatment, it had all the trappings of a Steven Spielberg thriller. blood, sweat but no tears for the intrepid Nick and Karl, wonderfully shot and choreographed. a walk up and down Soi 6 in its heyday would of been a doddle after watching this. Karl teaching the Novice Nick the art of self destruction but the olfella coping with it very well.bleep bleep bleep.. In this uncertain time were all going thru, this is light refreshment and entertainment for everyone to enjoy from a swaying hammock and a brace of Cold Singha's.. Chok dee Regards as well as Kudos to you both Big Ceei
Thanks B H, in all honesty I hadn’t flown a drone for the best part of a year at that point and we never even had a SD in it. Luckily a poorer quality video was saved onto my iPhone directly from the remote control feed so I used that. Yes, pretty pleased with it under the circumstances
Another great adventure with Karl. Nick will never forget this. IMO well worth the effort. I can't wait to get back to Krabi. Super photography and editing too. Where next?
No. Loved the video. The drone footage really captured the feel of the place. Back here in the UK we have to have licences for Drones so mine has sat idle for the last 18 months.
Wonderful video. I had been anxiously awaiting to see this as I knew you and Nick had taken the hike. Hiking in the rain uphill is treacherous but I don’t know how you did with soaked shoes. Looks like Nick just had tennis shoes (without traction) but they must have been heavy and mushy. LOL. Did you have proper hiking shoes?
Rick, I went to Hua Hin for a TFI SHow but we cancelled due to the situation. Karl said I'm doing this hike in Krabi if you want to come. Hell yes! Lol. The worst is yet to come hiking through the jungle getting destroyed by leeches in my pumps and ankle socks haha
Well done mate thought i'd done well going up the 1237 steps to the top of Tiger cave Temple in Krabi this sure beats that very enjoyable korp koon kap
Thank you Karl for showing us hidden gems of Thialand. And losing lots of sweat with it :D I'm planning to visit this beautiful country and your video are great help to make a choice where to go. Keep it up!
Thanks so much. I do my best but it costs money to run Karl’s Thailand and it earns very little. I’m glad that my channel is showing you the kind of places you might want to visit. I hope you have a great trip
Really good video Karl! In my early life, in the US Army .. many adventures, including several CRAZY treks around Europe, stationed in "West" Germany. Later, after college, a career and failed marriage.. I went back to the military but this time the US Navy (until retirement 2014) and a handful of crazy stories and adventures around the world. I'm now 54.. and NO LONGER interested in hiking up a rain drenched jungle path at night.. but I enjoyed seeing you guys do it. Spectacularly rewarding views, very cool video and perspective. Curtis in Mexico City.. returning to Jomtien Thailand in November and I hope to buy you a pint one day.
Yes Armyman, originally the plan was for me to head down to Krabi and do the night hike on my own. Nick decided to join and now we’re on a bit of a tour so long as restrictions permit
I liked views with fog. Yeah, I would! I like adventures, even I am scared I am brave) In my last youtube video I showed how I did night safari in a jungle of Khao Sok.
