Pag-uwi ko sa Pilipinas, pupuntahan ko talaga ang white house na 'yan! Dati kasi ako nakatira sa bahay Kastila ng lolo at lola ko nung bata pa ako kaya mahalaga sa akin ang bahay Kastila. Kinahoy pa ng ama namin sa Isabela at binababa na trozo pa…sa Manila na pina cut na malalapad ang panels..tapos pinatayo yung mga slabs para matuyo ng mabuti bago itinayo ang bahay….puro g buhos a g fou dation at mga poste kaya lifetime na bahay ito…ang masisira lang ay bubong at mga cabinet na hindi gawa sa narra.. susrte ang nakabili

Volada is a narrow passage used by servants to go around the house without being seen "alapin sa gigilid" where this word came from. There are four style incorporated in this house Mediterean very evident because of the adjacent tower to the house , Neoclasical the collumn of the house are in corinthian styles common in clasical architecture Art deco the upper window are in this style and Art Nouveu the cross ventilations are in this style. most filipino homes incorporate different style when their houses take a renovation and expansion The Interior of the house has a strong Malacanang vibe an addition of red velvet curtain with gold tassels will make the interior of the house look more regal

@@WhiteHouseSanJuan I also suggest a good interior designer can help you in the process of restoration because they have a knowledge in choosing the right pieces for this mansion and they know where to buy antique pieces that will best suited to this type of architectural style and also where to bargain. The mansion need a landscape architect too that will transform the entire lanscape into a periodical ambiance best suited to this type of architectural style I suggest a meditereanian style fountain in front of the mansion to make it more luxurious and inviting. I congratulate you both you and your wife for a beautiful succesful restoration of this ancestral mansion. It's really inspiring and may you and your wife inspire more people not only in the Philippines but the entire world in preserving our past.
