Spent years swimming in the surf of Hatteras. The summer of 2003 was out there with my family. We had gone out to the second sandbar to body surf. I tired after a while and said I was heading in...I was in the trough between the first sandbar and shore when something bumped me hard on my upper left arm...I turned and realized that it was a shark, about five feet long, now belly rolling next to me...the fear was insane...screaming and beating the water I managed to get to shore...was in panic mode for the rest of my family as they came in. We were all safe but honestly it changed me...I haven't been in deep ocean since.
1. Don’t go in the ocean without life G present. 2. Buddy system 3. Don’t swim in the morning or at dusk. From what understand those feeding times. If water. Looks murky just don’t risk it period. I don’t understand people sometimes. Pray he will recover quickly though.
It’s a shame that ppl today cannot enjoy the beach water. I love the beach. I’d play in the water with my girls, no more though. I will not go in and I have my daughters so frightened that they won’t either. Look, this is their domain and they don’t want intruders in their home. Hell no I won’t go.
Simple solution just put shark metal or steel barrier surround from beach to the sea its safe for all the swimmers 24/7 it also saves swimmers from drowning from waves the current etc
@Z1pzFnofficial People should remember it's the ocean, we don't belong there. They do. If people want to swim/surf and not complain about getting eaten, there's plenty of places they can go without sharks 🤷🏻
@@Heavilymoderated Sorry but when it's the same people over and over again committing violent crime you should notice that. 13% but more than half the homicides. Don't you think that's an issue. If you got on that whole BLM thing then you just helped promote the high amount of crime and disordered behavior.
In the late 80s my family lived in El cajon and i surfed regulary and seen sharks and bites were known but back then there was no interweb so its out instantly.
Sam Diego Surf School has some great tips for surfers taking to the water in order to avoid the many dangers out there and to enjoy the day. I think they should add, always surf with these brave souls.
Closure... but some adults def cant help disobey rules and THIS happen! Sad. Hopefully he recover well from this and try from now to listen those who knows
I'm hoping for speedy recovery for all the victims. However, you definitely shouldn't take this and hate sharks. I've swam with many of them and I've never had any close calls. Sharks are predators, and you definitely need to respect them. They aren't out to get humans because if they were, we could never go swimming in the ocean again. People take the ocean for granted and don't even think of any possible dangers or things they should look out for. The fact that we have so many people entering the water in today's age and their aren't even 100 attacks per year just shows sharks aren't interested in humans as food. Things more likely to kill you than a shark: Mosquitoes Dogs Hippos Crocodiles Vending machines Bee stings Falling coconut Even ants! I'm not kidding look it up
Let’s get this straight. Sharks have been protected, which is good, and here we are making a sensation out of animal kingdom. Bloody hell and murky waters. Don’t swim in the ocean, it’s not a cup of tea, it’s a red bloody murky concoction. Pardon me for being ignorant. Yes, speedy recovery. Sharks are where they always will be. May the lad be soon back in the ocean.
Haha, you just got done describing how the sharks patiently await swimmers as they lurk beneath the murky waves, while in the same breath, you suggest the shark-wounded swimmer go ahead and tempt fate again soon.
Sharks live in the ocean Bears live in the woods I’m so tired of hearing people complain about being attacked. STOP crying about it, you’re a fool, not a hero.
I feel bad for the shark. Imagine you’re at home trying to eat and ur food punches you over and over in the face. At least the swimmer has a cool story to tell and scars to match! He’ll be back in the water in no time 🤙🏻
U know u can enjoy life by smoking weed n life wil feel good u dont have to do deep into ocean lake ponds n etc just saying u got one life so take good care of it 😅 be smart n stop with this type sports because u r going into someone’s else’s home so u have to respect it just saying just like we attack mf who come into our house same shit better learn now
Sorry, but at the end of my life, whenever that may be, I damn sure will not leave this world knowing that all I did was smoke bud from the sidelines. I smoke, not much, mainly at night after the day is done, and I am ready for bed. But, I also have snorkeled with reef sharks off the coast of Bimini in the Bahamas with my then 12 year old son, my 68 year old mother, husband, and myself. I have snorkeled reefs from Key West, Curacao to Cozumel, had my son snow skiing Araphahoe Basin with a private instructor before he was out of diapers. He now skiis better than I. We have walked across the border into Mexico from Arizona with our son and family to appreciate Mexico without going to the tourist spots. I mean, your chance of being killed is far greater by boarding a plane or getting into a vehicle. Yet, I have flown private planes many times and even experienced extreme turbulence during one memorable flight. I would rather die with a lifetime of memories than ever spend my money on green, stay high, and unmotivated. I've also seen what long-term, heavy weed usage does to a person's brain and cognitive behavior from a lifetime of smoking.
@@jillbunny90 well I do enjoy life but I’m an active dude who smoke weed but also work 2 job have my small business washing cars n currently I’m in India with my son going to see oldest temple n tallest statue in the world so I do enjoy life but I woudnt do dangerous thing that will risk my life or my love ones it’s not wrong to enjoy life but think about ur safety first knowing ur going into some one else territory it never ends well even as humans when u go to wrong area n get shot
Sharks are now treated like a protected class. clear them out the population is larger than it needs to be. Federal managers would rather talk about too many Elk
