Every now and again you sit in your room and cry, begging for someone to understand. You turn on the music to a song that talks about life but not the way you are experiencing it. But every now and again, you come across a song like this. Witt's music is touching me on a level I have never experienced before. I have never been through a breakup but his words bring tears to my eyes. He writes this music, not to get famous but to express himself in his truest form. He needs to be recognized more, not people like Six Nine, Lil Pump, 50 Cent, or whatever. Not the rappers who rap about sex, violence, and drugs just to appeal to others. This is what music is supposed to be. Raw.

Been listening to Witt for about 4-5 years now and it feels like just yesterday

I remember listening to this in 7th grade... crazy memories coming back now that I’m in 11th grade

It's 2023 and I'm still analyzing this masterpiece. So here's what I think now. Nothing the woman says is her actual thought. This entire room is a visual representation of witts mind. And her verses are what he thinks her thoughts on the break up are. And that's backed 1 by the looping visuals, to show how someone goes around and around in their own head trying to rationalize the trauma, and 2, near the end he says "to think that I know how you're feeling is dumb" then he finally leaves the room, letting go of what she might be thinking and stepping into the unknown future. Which is another neat feature. All of the lighting throughout the entire video is artificial, mostly from lamps. The only time we see actual sunlight is right after he leaves, when the woman is sitting on the bed and she gives him one last glance. It's interesting to note that after he leaves and thus accepts it's over the memory becomes more "real" but in spite of this he has to walk into the dark hallway with no lightning. The future can be scary because it's not light, and comfort from routine and what you're used to looks bright, but we need to *move on* regardless
