Fun fact: Deep Thought would later be renamed Deep Blue because IBM thought “Deep Thought” sounded too much like “Deep Throat.” …wow. Also, the episode mentions Garry Kasparov, the chess champion whom Deep Blue would eventually defeat.
This is my favorite 1991 episode of WITWICS! I loved this episode because Robocrook was the villain, and he was one of my favorites on this show. Also, in the map run on the USA map, the first place he had to look for Carmen was in my home state of Michigan. I believe this was the only episode in the entire run of the show where Michigan got a marker on the map, unless you can disprove that. Anyway, a great posting, VERY WELL DONE!
@@markheying2830 Agreed it is the easiest. Africa is the hardest due to the small countries hard to pinpoint, followed by Europe. South America is definitely the second easiest map (only 12 countries).
@@markheying2830 True, but when they expanded it to include all of North America it then became the toughest by far. I still don't know all of the Mexican states, haha.
It's extra awesome because he chose to visit his grandparents in Iowa instead of sticking with the tried-and-true places like California and Colorado. I highly doubt any other contestant even picked Iowa, much less won a trip there.
