Just starting Wixoss and trying to get a better grasp of game concepts and how they play out in gameplay and deck construction? This video series aims to give a quick, concise introduction after you've figured out the basic rules and are looking to take the next steps in understanding the game.

Between a spectacular(ly stupid) fall off a bicycle, and internet that is nearly non-functional at this point - it's been a doozy of a month. Already started on the next video, which should hopefully be a good one - I've definitely spent more time than usual on the script, and it goes into a topic very much at the core of everything this channel does. Look forward to it! In the meantime, enjoy Wixoss in this golden age before the DXM dark times - the meta seems to be in a really good place right now.

I'm glad they've been helpful! The first few sets developed the game pretty quickly, so a lot of the deck lists I've put up are pretty outdated. This video, and few of the more theory-focused Wixoss videos I've made still hold up, though, so I'm glad they're still useful!

Hey! Been a fan for a bit ^_^ really like your insights. I think DIVA Wixoss, more than many other card games I have played, feels a lot more contextual with the small card pool, and I’ve had trouble explaining new players how to optimize decks as a result (Lancelot type signi setting a bar for acceptable walls almost feels like a “dies to bolt” situation) Just an FYI, pls double check the text on Koumei! She specifies only when a *white* lrig attacks and so does not grant Tamago extra attacks.

Great point with Diva being highly contextual! It's also a bit counter-intuitive that power is a defensive stat, rather than an offensive stat. Dies to bolt is a good analogy, though, especially given the efficiency and ubiquity of Lancelot. Good call on Koumei, as well. I was trying to pull together a list that would let me showcase all the elements I needed to talk about, and completely overlooked Koumei's colour restriction. (Also, fantastic pfp - best Doog!)

Your deffense is the hottness of your waifu's. So long as they're hot enough, your opponent will gain the status ailment [distracted by b00bs.exe] what more defense do you need? Seriously though, I'm not against the art, in fact I like it, and I think it should be MORE risque. I just, can't take it seriously while it's being "aggro anime waifu the tcg". More power to you if you can ;) I've seen the how to play, it has some interesting mechanics. But it also had this look of just being a complex way to organize your cards. I fully blame the lack of a propper life point mechanic for that though.

I mean, aren't all card games basically a complex way of organizing your cards? For what it's worth, as someone whose played a lot with both life point systems and Shield-card systems, I much prefer shield card systems like Wixoss. But yeah, some people are never going to be able to get past the art - although I kind of dig the "draw me an anime waifu, your prompt is plutonium" approach the art has. Either way, underneath all the waifus it is just a remarkably well-designed game.
