THE DATPIFF x VIBE MAGAZINE #1 MIXTAPE of 2010 On April 14, Wiz Khalifa took over the Internet. Unfamiliar Twitter users scratched their noggins upon seeing the seemingly esoteric phrase "Kush & OJ" listed in their trending topic sidebar. Even Google fell victim to the Pittsburgh rapper's rabid demandâ€”all for a mixtape. The project was more than unwarranted hype, though. Dipping into unconventional wells of inspiration, the Taylor gang leader swiped Demi Lovato's "Our Time Is Here" from Disney's Camp Rock soundtrack for the psychedelic anthem "We're Done"; elsewhere Frou Frouâ€™s â€œLet Goâ€ is, uh, lifted, for "In The Cut." He flexes his vocals here and there ("Up") and even tries his hand at reggae ("Still Blazin"). Can we get much higher? realWIZKHALIFA

This mixtape will always be special to me. I was 19 in 2009 and had my Toyota Celica. I used to drive my Homie Ajohnnie to re-up from the plug and he would give me a quarter ounce as payment. Even though he was "hood" he would listen to me talk about conspiracy theories and God. He introduced me to this Mixtape one summer and we played it every time we rode to the plug. I left my hometown in my 20s and while i was gone, my boy got shot 11 times by Columbia Police after an altercation. I was so heartbroken because bro had got a holy qaraan and was trying to change his life. I still bump this song and mixtape all these years later. 2009 was such a good time man. 😢 This mixtape and No Ceilings by Wayne was 🔥 that year

I listened to this song way back when I was stoned out my mind sitting on the curb of a random cul-de-sac I went down because I was way too stoned to go home. This track was/is fire af! If you a lyric connoisseur then you can tell Curren$y wrote the first verse and Devin The Dude wrote the second. *OR* Wiz or whoever produced the track wrote both the verses with intentions on shopping it to them. Either way the hook is all Wiz and the product was fire!
