For all those who are still having problems with pairing, I've solved it as follows: with the LED strip off, press and hold the button until it lights up, flashing slightly, then choose light bulb app and perform the pairing manually.

Turn the lights on with the button, and then hold down while searching until the lights pulse blue and purple 😁 Would be nice if they gave you these instructions before I tried rapidly turning them off multiple times.

Is it possible to add other brands of LED strip lights to these? I have the Wiz bulbs and love the app but Don't love the price of the strop add-ons.

I have a couple of the wiz A19 bulbs in my bedroom. They are pretty good, was thinking of this strip for under a baby crib. It's funny as these lights are produced by Phillips but unfortunately do not work together in their eco system with say the hue sync box. But the stuff I have from wiz is solid and good enough for general smart lighting applications...especially at a fraction of the price of many of the big brands.

I Chose Wiz over the Philips Hue system. It just made sense hands down. better pricing, all wifi. I don't need a hub.

Not sure if you still need this, but just go with the normal 'light' option. It will change to 'led strip' after you pair it with your device.

Click on the "Lights" it won't say LED light strip until after the first part, the first part only shows "Lights" click that then go from there and eventually it'll give option of which lights.

How to connect 2 metar strip on one side of the room and add another two meter to other side of the room? Is that possible with this set? Thanks

You have to buy extra parts, adapter's, connectors, extension pieces, it's a special LED extension cord that is either black or white and be a continuous wire going around, it just breaks the lighting areas up, kind of complicated I think, and they're not so easy to find cus most LED strip extension and corner prices are for 4 pin LED strips, these are different,either 5 or 6 I forgeg which. Did finally find right kind on Amazon for fairly cheap,just wish the "kit" came with these things needed.

It has some fancy presets that can melt down, but not sure if running light exactly is possible.

Can it be supplied with a higher wattage power supply? Its only 20watts on the driver. If extend to 10m the brightness is quite low

They've stuck again, 2 times, for me sort of. I had to add my own adhesive double sided 3m mounting tape in a couple spots where they wouldn't re'stick, fairly cheap to buy but kind of a pain to do.

thanks. These are 2M in length for $50 Cdn. Taotronics is 5M in length for $40 (non wifi, plug in and use with a control). Still 5M is a lot.

I found the most easy way to fix it. Instead of using the button to on/off. Unplug the plug and plug it in again and start paring. 100% work!!!

Only WiFi and only 2.4, they don't connect to my 5g home internet, sucks. Way too expensive for them to not be a bit more updated. And only can control with the App on your phone, they disconnect from Alexa everyday, I keep having to re add them and go through the whole set up process which is a pain.

Connect to the 2m Starter Kit? There should be explanations inside, you can cut and connect or connect at the end where there is a connector.

@@VelianSpeaksTech Figured it out, had to manually change the router settings to reveal the 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi connection. (http ://192.168.1.1/). And instead of turning the led strip on and off you have to press down the button for a few seconds to make it blink blue and white.

These LED light strips suck, for how much they cost, surprised actually. They don't stay connected,and your ISP has to have the 2.4, they won't stay connected to my Verizon LTE home internet, idk, but I will admit the ISP I have sucks too, so maybe it's not the lights. But still it does suck there's no remote unless your phones in your hand and you have the App up, and Alexa says it's connected but can't find the lights half the time I try using them with Alexa. You have to Buy corner connectors and extensions for any spaces, and they're not 4 pin like most LED adapter connectors to buy, have to hunt around for these type of connectors. And they've turned off repeatedly without me touching the app for them. The light bulbs have been better for me though,just these lights strips have had issues, if I hadn't paid so much, it wouldn't bother me so much, but these really should have been better quality with more options how to connect and control.

These type of devices only supports 2.4GHz Wifi. It says that you can connect to 5GHz but it is referring to your phone not the device that enables the Wifi connection to the LED. Illustration: Phone ------2.4/5--------Cloud--------2.4--------LED

What I was looking for was the steps to install the phone app, and the wi-fi. Specifically, whether I could skip wi-fi. At the 8:30 mark, I realized you just skipped that entirely. That was a total waste of time. Velian, I will carefully avoid you in the future. Useless.

OMG... I could feel myself getting OLDER just watching this... The presenter is, apparently, a non-native english speaker and is difficult to understand and doesn't enunciate very well... I'm making myself a note to not watch any more RU-vid videos from "Velian Speaks Tech"... Should probably be "Velian Mangles Tech"...
