Bruh when he said “you gotta guard me” “you ain’t taking my job” that really put things in perspective cuz it’s more than just a game. It’s a way of life. Survival type shit.
it's all fun and games until you realize you gotta go against ppl who are just as talented or even more than you are, but they have put all the work you may have overlooked to do. I think young athletes tend to overestimate their abilities and potential thinking all they gotta do is show up and things are gonna work their way by themselves. It's like who's gonna pay millions worth of their money to someone and not expect they play millions worth ball. U gotta be so good they're not investing in some groundbreaking cancer reseach to sponsor u good.
Fr tho. Beal is in a perfect position to say what he said. He’s secured the bag already and might retire as one of the best paid nba athlete ever. Talk about keeping it 💯
@@deangeloj4349 Yow this is True but the Point is he's KEEPING IT REAL with them bcse hey as he said if you have God Given Talent and you not using it the Right Way as he said he's just gonna take it from you sorry to say some of us dnt kno wht our God Given Talent is and some of us use it the incorrect way, a mean all MJ did was Work on his failures and not give up to get where he is today
@@deangeloj4349 You definitely missed his point. It wasn't about just guarding him, it was about there being only so many spots available. In order for them to make it, someone has to have their spot "taken". They have to prove they are worthy. And every year, someone is trying to prove they are not worthy and take their spot. Also, getting to his level of a contract is due to hard work and dedication, not just talent.
@@anthonyjones2392 I’m not religious, but he means that god gives you all of these talents, but you don’t practice and put them to use, god will take it away from you overtime.. which is true
@@anthonyjones2392 This statement doesn't simply apply to this one scene this statement applies to life in general. Yes this is true if you don't practice and put effort into something you will flop. But the deeper meaning behind it is that even when someone is naturally talented at something if they don't practice and utilize their gift then it doesn't matter how talented you naturally are eventually God WILL take away that talent and it IS God because who do you think gifts people with their talents? God is the reason we are alive and He is the one who blesses us but even when you practice and hone that gift if you use it for the wrong reasons and are more of a problem with your talent than a benefit to others God will still take away those talents and gifts for the betterment of those around you who are wronged by such pride and for the benefit of the self who became arrogant due to the talent. Also learn proper grammar regardless of what platform your on, bad grammar is a terrible habit to fall into and its a difficult habit to break.
The gifts of God are irrevocable, he don’t know what he talking about. God won’t take the gift but He will remove you from that position you supposed to use your gift.
Brad Beal kept it real...to get in the league, someone else has to retire or you gotta take someone's roster spot. Liangelo Ball is 6'7" played his while life, a scoring machine, has international hype and fans, and STILL can't get a roster spot
@@dunkcards7901 liangelo is 6'5 bruh. He's a scoring machine that's true. But waaay before the nba pat bev is a scoring machine too. Yet he was sent to china, there's level to being an nba player. Liangelo not on that level.
@@GodlyODB oh cuz I heard 2k has bad cutscenes so I was confused. And I know you play as a college student or like in a tournament or something before going to the nba so I thought this was canon
Man I never knew his personality in basketball but I can see his leadership skills on 1000 great motivation skills for these kids great BB has a AAU team and is really involved 👏🏿
And yet he still hasnt gotten to the finals or conference finals for that matter... shows you the gap between high school and nba levels. Beal raw af! 1 of my fav players today.
@@beatshare9513 lol 4real I’ve been wanting him on the lakers for awhile now because he’s a hell of a player. If he was on the lakers instead of the wizards his name would hold a lot more weight and he would be a well known star I’m from LA tho if that wasn’t obvious 😂
Bradley will turn 29 this month and I will turn 57 this month but his Basketball speech to the youngsters gave me a little of my confidence back that I lost because of some things I I been going through the last 2 years.
I love how he said "the right way" as some might use their talents and get to a different path. Still ballers but usually with a different crowd. Also love how he gave them a goal in his example, he made it in the NBA and explained that they (him and his family) are already set for life, hopefully the kids understands this correctly as some ballers, as i've said earlier where getting mixed up with the wrong crowd early in their life.
He gave them a dose of reality of how hard they gotta work if they we wanna make it to the league …what better person to hear it from then an elite player in the best level …hope they soaked it in
I hope they understand how special this is for them . When I played sports we didn’t have the internet so there was so many unknowns and to have a pro tell you what you need to do is priceless no pun intended
This is why single moms can’t raise men to be true men. We need this type of talk . No disrespect for single moms but you gotta get your sons a mentor or some manly figure who’s doing something right. This is real talk Man talk 🔥🔥
Everything he says is true I honestly had so many gift and opportunities and he took them away for me not using them! But my eyes were opened and now I'm trying to use all my gifts and better myself for myself and my babygirl!
When he said u gotta play me, the speech got spicy...but u gotta give the message like this to put things in perspectives..some ppl need to be backed in a corner to realize that this is what it is.
That’s leadership.. never forgetting where you come from. Sometimes the truth hurts but when you can relate to someone and steer them in the right direction that’s a great form of mentoring/motivation.
So I guess he should’ve lied too them then pretend like it’s ok you be ok you still gone make it 😂 Or yeah you good you the truth and all you can do is go one way right handed 😂 you not ready for the pros facts !!!!!
Commendable speech!!!! Factual, inspiring, motivational. Work on your trade like Bradley said, its hard work but the fruits of that labot will be beyond our dreams!!!!!
This how I talk to my 4-5th grade girls. I’m sure a lot of it won’t resonate right now but it’ll click at some point in their maturation process and that’s all that matters.
