Theres like a 50/50 for the skill check on the heavy ornates lock as a wizard. No skill check for the small ones

im top 25 for wiz rn in gobby caves (name is Despi) and trust me when i say this. stop using explosion at all in those scenarios or really at all. 2-3 zaps and any fighter is dead with that set. if you started with zaps he woulda been dead with no worry. I find myself only using haste/invis, zap, fireball, and MM as a last resort close range. But ideally of course id rather just kill with a fire ball and a zap or two but rogues are cake now with high dmg MM. Either way I love the content and have learned a lot from watching you play wiz as well. dont have a team so im always stuck in the gobby caves lol
