The trick in goblin caves is to be on the top level because that's where most portals spawn and even if some spawn on lower level you have more ways down than up
If you’re bad at the game, I would advise you play fighter for a while since it’s such a forgiving class. I played fighter and died 100000000 times in goblin caves, finally got the hang of it, started consistently extracting (kind of), then eventually started learning wizard. And then repeated the process but with more knowledge of the maps, encounters, mob patterns, etc. Wizard is extremely difficult to learn but then once you learn it, to actually get good at it is a whole other thing. But once you get good at wizard and it starts clicking I just don’t ever wanna play any class again, they all seem so boring and lacking in options now.
They should buff wizards starting gear so they are better in solos without affecting HR too much. Maybe give them a book, health potion instead of protection, and increase their base spell speed a bit. They shouldn't be this weak if solos are going to be a popular thing
Wizard is absolutely trash right now. Its 100x harder than any other class, brutally punishing if you dont have gear. You are slow, swing slow, hit for nothing, slow to open doors and have a tiny health pool. Make one slight mistake and you are dead. Wizard is not in a good state. The only time wizard feels good is in a 3 stack, do not play solo, AND if youre geared. If you have friends who will carry you till you have gear its o-k but its still much much harder than any other class.
Wizard by far has the biggest skill ceiling. It is incredibly rewarding and punishing I agree, although even in this current state when used right it’s absolutely devastating. Check out Katie on twitch for example, she runs HRGC with a all grey kit and takes out fully kitted out players of all classes. It’s amazing to watch haha
Aaaaand we just got our fireball nerfed. Just smashed a cleric in the face with 3 fucking fireballs and then went to arcane missiles the guy and he one bops me from full HP with a magic staff. He was naked too. Definitely would have died pre nerf, and honestly that even seemed imo too many direct fireballs to kill someone. Regardless of all that, once I get a few extracts and get some magic damage gear, wizard absolutely pwns people. But I do believe they are way too harsh on the nerfs with wizard and it doesn’t align.
@@dontknow3949 a cleric has 92 health when dressed in greys. Lower health and magic resist when naked. 3 directs would do 90 damage. I don’t believe your story but even if I did you should have punched him. Why try and magic missile a guy with single digit hp?
my biggest issue with this game is how stacked it seems against new players, my friend and i just started the game and somehow every run instantly find another team with upgraded gear buffing their warrior and there is no escape. every run we try its just people who already have full gear and we can never get loot or even try to find an exit. feels really bad, dont get me wrong we are still new and kinda suck but itd be nice if we even had a chance lmao
I agree. In tarkov, you will be severely disadvantaged against a better geared team, but you can still kill them. In this, unless the enemy is extremely incompetent, you cannot win. Goal for new character imo is to loot and avoid pvp as much as possible, then get out.
as a wizard i basically am required to run light orb over invis. invis is trash atm, and roques are impossible to deal with w/o it. arcane mastery is practically useless for that reason, so i run ice shield/reactive shield instead.
