There's a trick you can do to save training points if you don't have enough for whatever reason. You can save points from unwanted spells by using spellements. Like for example with training death to feint, feint requires vampire to be learned so that means you need to spend 5 points to get to feint. What you do is you learn up to vampire like you normally would, then you would upgrade vampire to any tier 2 upgrade, talk to Lincoln to reset your points and he'll give you all your points back except vampire since it's upgraded. But since you still have vampire, you can learn feint without needing the spells before vampire saving you 4 points. Obviously this means you'll need 75 spellements of a spell to upgrade them to tier 2 and ideally for it to be during the free training point benefit. The only thing about this is that this won't work if the spell you want requires rank 2 spells like dream shield or volcanic shield do. So you're stuck with the rank 1 and 2 spells if you just want the school's shields. Ferric has a video showing how this works if you want to see exactly how it's done.

Since this is for early game, I would personally recommend classes like life and death to train up to sandstorm, since typically you would only receive your aoe at level 48.

It really sucks how much the game really kind of forces you to get spells like feint or the Sun and Star spells. I really wish they put more emphasis on being able to solely focus on dual schooling. They also need to make Moon usable. When Celestia first came out it was my favorite school because of how cool I thought it was. I still think it’s cool but now that I’m way older I see how useless it is. They really need the spells and stats to scale with your level.

Are any of the moon spells worth getting? Specifically the ones from Krysalis?
