when I first tried out the game I picked storm because I thought it was cool being a kid, but now understanding the school I just fly through the main quests
Rain of fire isn't weak. It does the damage a nine Pip AOE dot should do. Dragon just does the damage of a seven pip single hit - Like all of the seven pip AOEs
Facts. The school itself is cool, but if they’re nerfing heals & trying to focus on the schools paths. Drains are overpowered & the damage & card utilities together makes it the best
So Fire is #1 mostly because of something that involves teamplay, where does fire go when it comes to just soloing? I get that when it comes to teamplay, they deal the highest damage in the game with scald or hell hound+incindiate+backdraft or a blade, surpassing storm in that area, but does storm deal more damage than fire in a purely solo situation?
Ofc it does Storm even in team play is the best dps 75% of the time because your team doesnt always have the cards you need to perform at your best as a fire. In a solo situation however, Fire does more than enough damage but does not completely struggle at surviving like storm does. Myth isn’t too far off in damage from Fire, has pretty much identical health BUT has more resist. The only reason Myth isnt undisputedly the best solo hitter to dps with is because you dont have a strong first turn hit until Drop Bear Fury. You cant go wrong playing as either of the 3 but in a team setting people will almost always prefer Storm/Fire as their primary hitter.
Storm Lord > Orthrus Base damage difference is LITERALLY 10. But storm has a higher damage/crit rating, so a storm lord will still end up doing more damage than Orthrus. Edit: To go even further, if storm lord doesn't kill, it has a stun utility which you can use to clean up enemies with Temp the next round. It used to be true that all bosses had stun immunity basically starting in Krokotopia, or maybe even in Wiz City, but now only some bosses are completely immune, so stun utility is actually useful again
would this tierlist look somewhat similar if we were considering pve SOLO only or would it be completely different in that measure in your opinion? I stopped following wiz back when 100lvl was max and ice used to be one of the best schools, with life amulet, to take any dungeon down honestly, beside death (of course).
I considered soloing in the list here, it wouldn't be that much diffrent for STRICTLY soloing. I probably would've put life higher and Fire lower if that were the case! The games COMPLETELY different now btw!
@@YuhPaul yeah, when I say solo I mean it. Few channels had content literally about doing hardest dungeons and bosses possible, without level overkill and any help (beside gold cards). I don’t know if it’s now, but resistance was a thing back in my days (specially with with big hp pool). That’s why ice was probably right after death in soloing. Your list looks more like it, but as I said, I don’t know current meta, that’s why I am asking for opinions.
@John-xl5iv a lot has changed since 100 was the highest level. You're not gonna find many people choosing to do group content solo when there's no reason to. Normal bosses sure but not soloing like bosses/dungeons at the end of the world.
And really ice and life shouldn't be that high pure solo. Just in my opinion it doesn't make the fights any easier having to add on extra blades or traps because of the lower damage. Or needing to pack an extra aoe for trash mobs because you cant gaurantee a kill as fast as other schools. Death is just unfair all around
@@Assau1tX Does the word feint ring a bell? Literally the best spell in the game, and a life or balance can utilize it better than a fire cause dragon is trash, also you die a lot the only thing saving fire from last place is the existence of the Ice school

The moment he started listed balance spells i closed the video lol power nova says "hi"! If youre actually good and pack pierce and cleanse in tc you dont even have to worry about wand hits taking your buffs, the only reason i have it as n.4 on my list is cause is the top 3 schools are broken. For reference my list best worst is Death>> Myth> Storm>> Balance>life>>>fire>ice
Wanted to drop my ranking here 1. Death (Drains are busted since they can be fully enchanted, they even have good damage and middle of the road accuracy for early game) 2. Fire (Best all-around damage school and has the most utility) 3. Myth (Minions COULD be nice early but they fall off quickly; Orthrus is also completely busted) 4. Storm (Myth and storm are probably interchangeable tbh, but no resistances) 5. Life (Damage too low but you can heal) 6. Ice (Dmg too low) 7. Balance (ong it’s solely because of having no early prism, celestia is a DRAG on balance)
I think Pierce was a direct Nerf to Ice school and should never have been created, if not for it Ice would be much stronger. That said I also think Balance is much stronger than Myth and I would place Death over Fire in rankings. However I don't PvP so that's just me LOL
Ice is top school because of the def and hp. In 2022 or so they updates giving almost all schools spells available for each school. Ice running death with pierce try it lol
i disagree ice is extremely good once they get snowball at least as a solo player dpp is really high for a defensive school and really good stats plus death as a dual school is extremely good same with life the defensive schools have slightly weaker damage but way more bulk the offensive schools are garbage as a solo player my ranking for a solo player 1-ice 2-death 3-life 4-myth 5-storm 6-balance 7-fire
Snowball is under ices shadow enhanced dpp value. Ice is also extremely weak with frostgiant being so weak compared to every other 7 pip aoe. Ice isn’t bad it’s just WAY under the other schools leagues.
@@fredthetank8386 doesn’t matter because you usually get your shad when you’re ready to hit on boss fights ice is top tier solo school maybe it’s slow at times compared to other school but by no means is it worse
@@primella8135it is literally in terms of soloing the worst school in the game because it has no dmg. Fire Abd death literally are the best for soloing out of all schools, that’s why they’re one of the most popular
@@Assau1tX i can tell you never solo on a ice nor fire because fire is probably the worst school to solo there aoes are garbage they don't even have good single hits anymore
