i 100% see why people dislike storm and i agree to a certain extent but there’s something ab buffing myself up until i have like 8 pips and then casting tempest and doing over 7000 damage that’s so satisfying to me
Maybe it’s just my ADHD brain, but the cool spell animations, big numbers, and fast battles that come with Storm are more than enough to keep me entertained

my lack of motivation comes from the worlds. the second arc is just painful to quest through and it’s apart of the reason i temporarily quit the game so often
Fr I stopped questing on my storm wizard so many time durning the second arc. At least 4 times I stopped. Stoped in zafaria, then Avalon, then Azteca and then again in khrysalis. Just came back to questing on my storm and finally finished the second arc. It just burns you out
@@Megbun the 2nd arc was my favorite. I like the worlds a lot more than arc 1 or 3. Soloing a storm through them was more fun cuz I actually had to think. Especially Khrysalis. Had to farm, strategize, and hope for rng.
I don't have an issue with Storm constantly having to use Tempest, because that's basically every "go to" move for the game. Use the 4-pip AoE if it kills, if not, then blade up for the 7-pip aoe.
this is just my opinion, storm fits it’s role very well, and as a solo player i appreciate the super fast questing and i haven’t got my storm to max for the reason you named in the video but i think as a way to balance out the game in a way that every school is relevant is KI has to create bosses, dungeons, and instances that promote the utility of other schools. Storm is good because it’s very strong, but it’s also very good because the whole damn game is blade blade hit and feint when you need to. Classes the abuse blades benefit the most and that is literally the role of a storm wizard, blade to do massive damage. but what if they added more bosses end game that promoted the use of different utility spells. I feel like KI is always buffing/nerfing spell damage, mob/boss health, etc, but instead of balancing by making schools weaker, they should take the underwhelming school niches and make them better
That’d be too smart for any of the incompetent devs to understand. They take the cheap easy route 100% of the time and instead of making the game better they further destroy it into oblivion.
As a diviner/storm wizard I can personally say being a storm wizard was hell for me it gets boring even if you do a playthrough my personal problem is that if my character is the only storm wizard puts a lot of pressure being the hitter when I made my storm wizard I KNEW damn well what I signed up for and true to my prediction on my storm went through hell and back the HORROR I remember being frustrated in Avalon but kept it in check thank God I learned volcanic shield and tower shield.
In my opinion fire school is the best.I got fire, death and myth 160lvl wizards and a balance that im levelling up at khrysalis. In my experience fire will always remain the most balanced school. Also bro congratulations for going to the university/college I’m near my graduation and I promise you it will be a fun and productive experience. Regards from Greece, keep up the good work 👊🏻
As someone who has 7 characters and uses storm most of the time to help powerquest my other characters, I agree. I can quest for an entire day and 90% of this day just consists of me just seeing the tempest animation and killing in the first round. With the already boring quest design of this game (defeat and collect) and bosses that 99% of the time have no rules, I literally start to lose my mind having gone through the first and second arc so many times with the help of my storm. I can’t really vouch for the later arcs because my storm is the only one who is that far, but as for the first and second, I need psychological therapy. + using cheat engine on 3x speed to complete 1 world every single day, you basically are always fighting and that for 5-7 hours straight. It’s so draining and it has kinda pushed me away from using storm in the future. Balance has ironically been the most fun to me, because fights can be actually difficult and you need to strategize, especially if you’re up against a balance boss. It may also come from the fact that it was my first school ever and I have a deep connection with the spells
Thats because you powerquest your characters instead of playing by only that character. Also I'll never understand why people would create different accounts for new characters since you can't use shared bank feature
@@antepa112 I can use shared bank feature because I have 7 characters, 4 on my main acc and 3 on my 2nd. When I use shared Bank obviously I can’t make use of everything because my other characters are somewhere else but there’s enough times where it does help.
Storm is PTSD.. I only quested my storm cause my best friend wanted me to do max pvp with her at the time it was lvl 120.. I soloed quested it 😭 would never do it again lol Storm in pvp back when the shadow hits actually took the blades and what not.. Bugs and Sirens was PTSD and i still flinch anytime i see it 😭😂
Honestly they can do whatever they want with the endgame gear as it is I'm not going to bother getting it. As for storm as a school it's whatever. I'll play any of them it's all the same in the end. That is with or without school identity.
Ok, I'm guessing I can share my POV on Storm? Ok, so, haha damage go brr is very satisfying. If I get bored of questing on my current character, I just switch to Storm and breeeeeeeeeeeeze through the game. I find it pretty cool. Now, the main reason why I mainly play Ice, Storm and Fire is because they are the only schools who are still on their lvl 1's school identity, their 7 pip AOE didn't change much and that's a BIG plus for me. Second thing, is that the spells are cool. Now, if you find a certain school repetitive, it's mainly the player's fault. You are the one forcing yourself to always use Tempest or Storm Lord, not anything else. You farmed for the best gear every 30 lvl, so if you want to play differently, get a Life or Balance mastery from Waterworks or Cronus. Use the coolest spells for NO REASON : Leviathan on the coolest Khrysalis bosses, use Kraken for every Krok in the game for no reason, or AOE when the boss really isn't cool-looking, doesn't have a cool personality, or isn't important to the storyline OR the world's story. Come on, stop complaining about schools being repetitive when you're the one being repetitive :/
I feel like if storm had both of its extremes toned down it would be a lot more fun, a bit less damage, and a bit more health, still enough damage to be the highest damage school, but not by such a long margin as it currently is.
Yeah it's a bit strange how novus has changed things so much, there's a guy in my guild who's a death but has incredible storm stats and uses storm spells in our raids, he's a vanguard and does insane work
What bothers me about storm is that whenever a storm is in the party, no one else gets to play a dps. I cannot count the amount of times i had to play support as a fire, my main, because one storm joined. Like, come on, i'm a dps as well, stop making me be useless cuz what damage i can do the storm can do better and faster. I can imagine death and myth also struggle with this.
Dislike because I'm a storm main, which you had good fair points. However, it's due to storm being known for its quick paced high risk high reward play style. It's a class for the more experienced wiz players which is why it's so hard until you truly understand mechanics and methods. But I did subscribe, because you weren't biased.
