I am not saying that this was its only problem but it could definitely be like Fuller House where the cameos in the first season were pointless.

Exactly what I was thinking since they said he wanted to move on from it lol. Which is fine but they only needed him for that one hour episode now he’s back years later with a reboot lol

Such a great episode and please have them on again! I loved hearing how them got into the business and going though what they did before wizards. I want another episode with them taking about any episode they wrote and memories they have on set that day. This episode was my favorite, along with the episode with Selena. I haven't watched all of the podcast episodes but from what I've seen those are my favorite.

Would appreciate if the guests finished their thoughts before anyone adds on. Allow them/each other to finish their thought/sentence 😂 Just something I’ve been noticing recently. Still love the pod!!

Totally agree with you! It's one of the little things that bugs me with this pod. Sometimes I want to hear the story the guest is telling, but they get cut off and never come back to it. As a conversation, I feel like it's a bit rude to cut off someone's story to tell your own. Little comments/interjection are fine if the don't derail the story/thought of the person talking. I know you guys are just having fun, but a little more curtasy in conversation would be nice.

I don’t have hope for the sequel. But I really hope they don’t ruin everything that we all love. Disney is not the same Disney and they don’t really care about the stories and the fans who love them.

@@henrypeters5291 who knows but David and Selena are Executive Producers on the show so hopefully they will make sure that the show remains truthful and faithful to what Wizards of Waverly Place is.

@@MattZRJSRoxy My impression is that Selena is mostly doing this as a favor to David and David is mostly doing this to revamp his career (I could be wrong). If that is the case, then it would be similar to the iCarly reboot which while not bad per say, was definitely a cash grab especially in the latter seasons as they did not know how to write the older characters or what to do with the newer characters.

@@henrypeters5291 I didn't see anything wrong with the iCarly sequel other than the fact that it doesn't seem like Carly would be the type of person to not know that she didn't graduate, I hated that story since she was pretty much always the responsible person of the main group.

@@MattZRJSRoxy Personally, Harper rubbed me the wrong way and it is clear they did not know what to do with Millicent after they pivoted her character. As for the rest of them, the writers were clearly trying and failing to imitate Harmon's humor and zannyness but were unsuccessful, for example with Neville's wedding or Lewbert suing the kids. And in my opinion most of season 3 felt rushed and they sabotaged Pearl's character. The only characters who were written well were Freddy and Spencer.

I love this video, it honestly really inspired me, especially hearing how much they saw in Selena. I really wished the original writers were a part of this sequel series, I'm sure the new one has potential to be funny/nostalgic, but there was a specific tone that makes WOWP so special (in terms of comedy and character depth/interactions). I was hoping that it had a story that showcased he cast and crew are irreplaceable. I am not 100% convinced with the story, but I think the casting of the new characters seem fine. I had my own ideas of how I wanted the show to go, but I'm hoping for the best, just wished someone from the original cast was a series regular (Max would've been a. good person for it).

Will be interesting to see how the sequel plays out. Personally would have preferred an icarly-reboot-approach (same cast, cater to older audience) over the Raven´s home / Girl meets world approach where they cater to a newer young audience. Think success will depend on how much they integrate the original cast (finger´s crossed for a lot of appearances ☺)

I am glad the pilot starts, but you know, this thing does make me nervous. Reboots rarely go well and snce we have new writers from Raven Home, this will be super wild, since they had to back to the old ways of doing things. Anyway, before it was words on a page, but now it is iconic legend with a fanbase. There will be a lot of stress here, especially for the new actors that came in, but the good thing is, they are with the right people. There is one kid in here, Max and he has a famous sister online Rubix, Cubix, He often appears in the videoes and he is great.

@@Theagames10Sadly I think the podcast is starting to rely on that tactic recently: Tease something big in the description that's briefly brought up right at the end. They did it with Anneliese's episode: Description: "She spills the tea on why she's not on Raven's Home", Podcast near the end: "I was fired" and nothing more. This episode's 3 minute discussion about the sequel at the end boils down to "We hope for the best"

Brian Tollin didn't sound right to me and indeed that wasn't since that was the name of their production company; Tollin/Robbins Productions so looking over the Head of the Class cast list, it looks like that was Brian Robbins so good to hear that they had nothing bad to say about him.

If they do a reboot and David doesn't want to return as Justin it could still be about his kids. They're living with and learning magic from their Aunt Alex because their dad is too busy off doing whatever he does, maybe monster hunting, and doesn't have time to care for his kids. Then they could do what Fuller House did to the Olsen twins by mentioning how their character didn't want to be present then break the 4th wall with some snide, "shame on you" look.

He didn’t want to do the movie back in 2013 but he is definitely doing the reboot as that one will be about him. The rest of the cast will not really be the focus of the reboot. They might attend as guests but they won’t be regulars unfortunately 😞

Aye, he wasn't interested in the reboot before because he was jealous that Selena was the star and not him, he didn't want anything to do with them or a show as ''was busy doing important things'', but as soon as they made him centre square, he switched sides, jumped on board and took over completely. He is a jealous person who tends to hold grudges apparently. He is only allowing certain people back due to the script, but it would be nice if they all came back. Since the reboot is going to focus on more on Justin than anything else, it makes me nervous.
