Same sway bars are used on all models within year range. There is no "SRT" sway bar. Also there are no hemi front springs. Same springs on all models within year range.
Thanks for the video. Im in the UK and also have qudra lift. Can i ask? Did you only put leveling links on the front and did you manage to sort the rubbing out and if so how? Love the build. I know you no longer have it, but your help in my build will be much appreciated. Thanks buddy.
First off, the jeep looks sick man!!!! I have a 2019 overland and I’m looking to do a larger wheel and tire combo very similar to yours. I’ve been looking in to the airlinks as well. I guess I’m still a bit confused though. For the most lift, would you not recommend the “lift” airlinks over the “level”?
Correct. The Lift Airlinks are a front and rear airlink(1.5"/.5") vs the level (1.0") However keep In mind that will raise your air suspension up one level. So Normal mode will now ride at OR1. OR1 will be at OR2 so you will not have another level above that. (Will not go I to OR2) ride will be rougher too.
So I was looking into suspension options, I also have the air suspension but I’m reading I can’t add the rough country 2in lift? Has anyone tried or have any info
Does it rub in Aero or Normal mode, after the wheel, tire, and AirLink changes? Edit: looks like you’re rubbing in Normal as mentioned @13:00. Did you fix this now? How?
On those Fuel Wheels it says they have a center bore of 71.50 and the hub size for your Jeep is 71.50. Customoffsets says "hub bore on the wheel is smaller than Vehicle". Did you have to do anything with the bore size on your Fuel Rebel 5's?
I saw that when I ordered and called them. They reached out to the manufacturer and adv there wasn't gonna be an issue. They were correct, NO ISSUES at all in this setup.
Entry exit is turned off in the settings on your radio under suspension (same place you should put it into "tire change mode" before service). daily is still in normal mode just 1" higher. i still have capability for OR2 yes.
What would a +1 offset be like? That’s what I’m waiting on to be delivered. same exact wheel and tire size except +1 offset. , and ordering an AirLinks lift kit. Just in case. I would rather the leveling kit but according to your video I would rub.. I was wondering if that +1 would help that issue . I know you don’t have it but I fell in love with your setup just went with bronze instead of grey
I’m looking at doing the exact same thing to my trailhawk. On some of the forums people talk about off road 2 not being usable with the airlinks 1” front level. Would you say that there is a noticeable front height difference between OR1 and OR2 with the airlinks installed?
OR1 is a 1.5" lift OR2 is a 2.6" lift. Yea it's noticeable. You won't lose the OR2 ability with just the level links. You will lose it if you go with their Lift links though
I see that Kentucky license plate. I'm in Lexington and I'm looking for a reputable shop to install a 2.5" lift on my 2018 Grand Cherokee Limited. Any suggestions?
Your Jeep looks amazing! Have you had any issues since? I've ordered level links for my 2020 Trailhawk and will get rims and tires this Spring (after I take off my winter wheels).
@dksgarage6061 I know it's been a while, but I am looking at those rims and they look great. I went on Fuel's website and it says that exact size/spec wheel doesn't fit the Jeep. Were there any modifications you had to make to ensure they fit? Or is that just the Fuel website being conservative with the compatibility? Thanks!
@@dksgarage6061 That's awesome! Yeah I have a 2014 Summit and need to get some better wheels/tires for offroading for sure. Your Jeep looks great with this setup, so that made it easier for me to figure out what might fit haha.
I have a 2017 overland , same air lift suspension like yours. My question is does your Jeep also go aero mode when on highway speeds? Mine does and is it possible to disable that feature and does the air link help prevent aeromode from tubing the tires? Thanks
Aero mode still Works on mine. You can disable Park mode only. You shouldn't be going fast enough as well as turn enough to rub in aero mode to rub tires. Those must be very large.
Looks good, I just put 275 65 18 summits on my grand, without air suspension, and it definitely made a huge difference and no rubbing. Next im planning on a 2.5 inch lift
There wasn't enough of a difference in the speedo to matter so I didn't set anything. In fact the miles per gallon are actually closer on the dash now when Compared to the manual calculation
See my "Walkaround" video. I ended up turning up the links to give it a bit more lift and added the rear links. Did some light plastic trim and it's perfect.
What's your ground clearance height on Offroad 2, with this set up? (stock it's 11.3") Love what you've done, plan on copying you (imitation is the highest form of flattery, right). thanks
@@dksgarage6061 got the lift and put on 32" Duratrac tires (all measurements in Offroad 2) Approach: was 36 degrees now 37 degrees Departure 27 degrees now 30 degrees Breakover 26 degrees now 27 degrees Clearance 10 3/4" now 12 7/8" (measured from bottom of transfer case skid plate)
Did you need to get an alignment following installation of the links? I'm looking at the leveling links and am curious if an alignment will be necessary afterwards. Thanks
Hey there! I am about buy a TH, do you find the V6 power still adequate with the larger tire diameter? Did you feel a difference? Did the ride suffer in terms of comfort? Any other observations
@@dksgarage6061 thanks for the quick reply! for sure in off-road it is more advantageous on fuel consump., and on the road probably slightly worse. Very good job, auto looks great and now send me this car to Poland :D
Anytime you go larger tires you're gonna have the speedometer a difference, but with a little amount entire size change here the speedometer difference is not that noticeable
Looks great. I have a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. Have you had any trouble with off-road 1 with bumps and Ruff terain? What is the U-turn ratio like? Or you just never put it on entry exit mode? Let me know your thoughts thank you
I never put it in entry exit mode...you can, but don't expect to be able to move u til It raises back up. I don't have the patience to wait for it after starting up.
Nice lookin Jeep - looking to do the same thing myself...but have the 20" SRT wheels...and the OG Trailhawk wheels too, might need a third set for my "offroad" look....Question, did you have to trim the spare tire container to fit the larger tire?
@@dksgarage6061 Did you have to adjust the bi-xenon headlights (downward) at all after the changes? I saw at one place that you have to even with the fancy ones if you want to keep them from flashing folks.
Greeting! In the future I would like to do something like this, the question is, this change is strictly offroad? or can the street run? Does it affect consumption ? or something else ?
It can definitely be driven On and Off road. I have been using it as my daily ever since the setup was installed and am averaging 18.7mpg (Hwy/city) runs great!
I have no issues, it's not a Racecar but it's plenty quick enough! I've never needed to turn the sport mode on, but that's also an option for you if need be. I've had a lot of lifted Jeeps, trucks etc and this little V6 scoots in comparison! These aren't 35's
Seems weird that you would change the rear sway for better handling when you made the handling a lot worse with taller tires and leveling links. If you dont do much off-road driving, why put on those oversized all terrain tires? Is it just about the look for you?
