A little bit of trivia - the song "Make Believe" near the beginning is performed by the studio group "Wind," whose lead singer was a young fellow named Tony Orlando (before he became famous with the group "Dawn").
Jack Kerouac lived in St. Pete then and used to make recordings off the radio of stations including WLCY just for fun. This could have been, though I'm sure it wasn't, a tape made by him right before he met his end just over two weeks later. Anyway thanks for sharing these...it's a nice snapshot of a long bygone era.
Thanks, Tim Replugle. Very interesting information about Jack Kerouac - didn't know he collected radio airchecks. This particular aircheck was recorded by Lou Al Chiaramonte here in Tampa. Thanks again for your post!
