This one looks real good Dave. Funny how these r/c brands are so recognizable by their style. You can tell this is a wltoys as soon as you see it.

Looks pretty good, better shocks for sure. I wish Wltoys would upgrade some of their 1/12th stuff to be stronger, I would much rather pay a couple hundred for a 1/12 roller limitless clone. Thanks!

Solid platform on this truck Dave. Wish they would make a version of the track warrior in this scale too, like they did in the 1/10 scale a few years ago. Really love that version! Great review brother!💯🤘🏻

when I bought mine about 5 years ago it didn't say 12428 or 12427 but it just said storm , there's one branded ripmax too. either way these trucks are great and I still use mine from time to time . Nice bash bud 👍

Yeah like I said at the start of the video, I can’t tell any difference between this 12427 and the 12428

I think they must have changed the esc and transmitter on these to the more modern ones we see in the 144001/124018 buggies etc, as this has a power button now not a on off switch

Yeah most of these cheaper brushed rc cars or trucks from China have an ESC and Receiver combo, you can upgrade the receiver sure... but you'd also need to upgrade the ESC to a stand alone one then connect the independent receiver up to it of course

@@PERTHWESTOZRC Yeah sure thanks. I have a radiolink r6gs with receiver. Does 600meters. Also have a 4370kv brushless motor and esc 45/60a. Am wanting a cheap buggy with hard cage to fpv in around the block:). Listing says 10mins usage. gee not much. I need at least 40mins. Can you suggest anything else in 1/10 or 1/12 range? Maybe a 3500mah battery do the trick?

No wltoys never made these brushless, but Feiyue make the desert eagle FY03H version which is brushless

so , does this kinda confirm that the 12427 is the newer version of the 12428 ?

I’m not too sure tbh, I can’t tell if they upgraded anything except maybe the esc as it has a power button instead of a switch, otherwise it looks like the original 12428 in my eyes
