I really like RC Helis. They look cool, they sound cool, they can do things most drones can’t. But, they can be fragile. There are a lot of moving mechanical parts that all have to be working perfectly. That is why I got out of helis, one little issue and you have a 2 hour repair ahead of you. But, they are still cool.

Been out of flying choppers for 5 years. Bought a v911s to practice with. Getting ready to upgrade and debating on this and the blade 230s v2. Never got into quad copters due to them being so easy to fly that I get bored with them in 2 minutes, I need a challange. Fear of a huge crash is half the fun. Nice review thank you for the video.

You should get a driect drive heli like an OMP hobby M1 or M2. There is also the eachine e180, the blade infusion 180, and the Trex t15, and the goosky s2. These are all direct drive helicopters that have no gears to strip.

do make a video of how you replace it. I had a heli too. (XK K110) nice awesome newbie combo in my opinion. have no idea how to change it. havent start 3D flight yet

The tail motor is designed to stop when there is no Rudder input on the sticks.

The V950 has an issue when the Heli is doing the initialisation. When you connect the battery you have to do the following; hold the heli on the landing in straight condition. Accelate and check if the swash plate moves up without a tilt / flip. If it tilt strongly disconnect and do it again. I need to do it sometimes once, other time 3, 4, or 5 times. When it is OK you can start flying. If it is not OK you will always crash and main motor sheft will have a small bend what will creat also issues in the stabilisation

I started helli flying a couple months ago with the blade nano s2. I like it But I wanted to try a larger one with the same capability. This one is pretty cheap so I won't be bummed if I wreck it Lol. Good to practice on I think.

Very nice review. (Y) O yea video how to replace gear will be nice to see. In long term I want to have good heli, plane, wing, truck, boat. But for now, drones are still drones and still have a lot things to learn here. I hope that at Black Fridays I could buy one of those 5 items per year and complete collection in 5 years.

I remember when i was 7 or 8 i was addicted to rc helis. I would get these really bad light up ones that would break after a couple of days haha. That was the last time i flown one. Definitely considering picking up a decent one.

Direct drive tail motors work this way because they can't reverse. They depend on main engine torque for moving the tail in one direction, and the tail motor to move it the other way. If it had a brushless motor on the tail there might be a way for it to reverse I suppose. Also that main gear looks very thin and fragile.

I have one of these and was disappointed by first flights but am persisting with repairs. replaced tail motors but kept getting bad ones that seized and burned out. have replaced servos with metal gears but now waiting for new receiver coz the original failed under power. bad investment but I hate to be beaten ahahah.

Helicopters are the worst😥 had one about 12 years ago and I never could get the thing to fly. It was over 10 years later when I saw a toy quad on sale and thought it can't be as bad as the helicopter to fly and that got me back into flying. Thanks Mark 👍 but I'll stick with quads 😀

That's really nice, dude. 😊 A friend of mine had the same problem with his heli... Then he brought it to me and I fixed it using a printer gear! 😂 I have lots of printers parts here, I get them broken to disassemble and get motors for my projects. 😃

8:53... Where did you find them for $2.00 each ?? They are $2.55 each at BG. Still not expensive at BG. 10:51... I'm sure you can remove the Notchy feel inside the radio while you wait for the Main Gears to arrive...;-)

Yeah, these v950 are pretty much junk. Et a Blade V911. They're small but well built You can find em for $40 and are twice the heli Most reviews are negative They can be found for about $75 now.

The radio may look nice but it's very poorly made - the soldering comes of easily. A disaster if one is flying the heli and some wire in the radio comes loose.
