The day after Tribune owned WLVI signed off for the last time Sunbeam launched 7News at Ten on CW 56 produced by sister station WHDH on December 19, 2006.
They probably had to use the WSVN open for the WLVI newscasts temporarily because the 7 news open at the time had NBC branding. Now in 2014, the 7News intro doesn't have either NBC or CW branding.
@videonut33 It wasn't a decision of theirs. Nobody would or could buy them but Sunbeam. Tribune sold CW56 to them. I certainly hope that 7 and NBC part ways. Although 4 and NBC will most likely never team up again.
