Bruh, if this team gets something consistently from its ancillary players (Atkins, Powers, Hawkins, Sanders) its gonna be a 3 game series at best. The Sun simply don't have the talent or dynamic players to compete. Courtney Williams is a gamer tho. She can ball.
Just 1 game but like I've said to some folks, the Mystics have too much offensive power because of that they can kinda afford to lose big leads. 20, 6, 6 from Alyssa and 26 from CW still wasn't enough they'll need 20+ from Jones, J Thomas they'll have to flat out outscore the Mystics to have a chamce. So far the Mystics can explore more mix matches than the Suns especially when Stricklen is in the game. Just one game but lets see what Curt Miller and his players adjust to. Go Mystics!
I appreciate your analysis . However I call a sweep. You a right a bout the offensive power house of the mystics. Nobody is stopping Delle Donne . Who can just rise and shoot from anywhere in the arc. U got tolliver who is constantly moving and can finish at the rim. Not to mention and get hot from 3. And Neesh ...well whats the answer for her . She is ridiculously clutch. Strickand is Connecticut best defender but she is slow so you put a smaller guard and she is running around her.
@@ZelB84 So far it seems like Aces were a more difficult matchup for Mystics because a team like Mystics struggle against inside scoring team with length, on the other hand the Suns are also kinda like a jumping shooting team and that plays right into the Mystics taste especially knowing they have the best offense oat so it'll be hard for teams to outshoots them but like I've said Miller will adjust and playoffs ball game is about adjustments, so we'll see.
@@zephyr9574 True. The Aces were full of mismatches. Tolliver wasn't healthy enough to stay in front of Plum. Cambage is a force of nature that really nobody can check. The Sun have some nice players (Williams in particular) but nobody that the Mystics can't contain. 4 games tho, cause the Sun will get one at home.

Teams like Mystics struggle against teams like Aces with length and inside pounding but against a team like Suns who depends on their offense more, kinda plays into Washington's hands because the Mystics are a lil bit of both, what impresses me about the Mystics are their defense, they have an underrated defense. @@zephyr9574 Sanders can hold her own and maybe limit Jones' impact some. But they'd better have a better answer for Williams and figure out how to stop Alyssa Thomas in transition. They gave up so many baskets just because of laziness, especially in the 4th.
I just don’t think the Sun has enough fuel in their tank to keep up with the Mystics. The Mystics will continue to attack Stricklen, and throw taller, more athletic guards at Jasmine Thomas. JJ needs to step up her game if the Sun wants to stay in this game. But she doesn’t have much size advantage over EDD and EDD’s lateral movement is way better. The Mystics are not going to double her. JJ needs to score and force their defense to shift.
Don't jinx us lol, but won't be surprise if Meesseman, Toliver or Atkins steals it. Remember the year Andre Iguodala won the finals MVP outta know where over the unanimous MPV Steph? Yeah that could happen because like GS during that year, the Mystics also have multiple players that could have big run of games.

The Sun is a very young and talented team no doubt. However their lack of depth is going to be their down fall. The rely so heavily on their starting 5 that they will be burned out by game 3. Mystics bench has been the X factor all season long. They have Meeseman, Tiana, AP, Shatori, and even Myeisha Hines-Allen can step up when they are in the game. I believe the Mystics will take this series 3-0, possibly 3-1 if Connecticut can pull out a home win.

He just wasn't willing to take shots in game. The guy has shot above 54% from the field for his career. He takes shots he can make. He didn't take bad shots. He will enter the year with more confidence and will take more outside shots. He always practiced; just because you didn't see it doesn't mean he didn't do it. He guarded Kawhi very well and was the primary defender in games 6 and 7 and held Kawhi to below average games. I'm doubting if you even watched the games.
@oldskoolbeaten the point that Simmons and the vast majority of NBA players can dunk is part of the reason dunking was brought up. WNBA can't dunk therefore placing an emphasis on their jump shot.
