The church has compassion. The global church, feeds more people, clothes, more people, gives more people housing, provides more medical needs to people, provides more mental needs to people, provides more spiritual, needs to people, etc. than every other institution combined Your local church might not be doing all of these things, but they are plugged into a much greater organization. The body of Christ is not lacking in anything. The individual Christian might be lacking but the body of Christ as a whole is doing what it needs to do to be the salt and light of the Earth. There is always room for more but that also is placed on the individual Christian to be the salt and light more so that way the body of Christ can also be the salt and light more.
