To celebrate Welsh National Opera’s 75th anniversary we take a walk through history, from the Company’s humble origins in Llandaff, Cardiff to our current home at Wales Millennium Centre. WNO Chorus re-trace WNO’s journey, culminating in a stunning performance of Easter Hymn from our first ever production, Cavalleria rusticana, on the Donald Gordon Stage with soloist Camilla Roberts joining the full forces of the Chorus and Orchestra conducted by James Southall. As the voices reach a crescendo we reflect on our history and look forward to the future.

Mae Corws WNO yn ail-olrhain taith WNO, gan arwain at berfformiad syfrdanol o Easter Hymn o'n cynhyrchiad cyntaf erioed, Cavalleria rusticana, ar Lwyfan Donald Gordon gyda'r unawdydd Camilla Roberts yn ymuno â lluoedd llawn y Corws a'r Gerddorfa o dan arweiniad James Southall. Happy Easter Resurrection and revival of God's moral and righteous laws for Love to prevail...Amen God's moral and righteous laws for Love to prevail are always Positive... for all. Do not Positively Die from eating bad knowledge... Genesis 2:17 Faith is Positive + Fear is Negative - Sin creates negativity, guilt and shame...hurt, sickness, trauma and pain...a loss of peace... Only repentence and turning away from sin for Salvation will allow The Holy Spirit of Peace to dwell in us, in our body which is The Temple for God's Love to dwell... Happy Easter Resurrection and revival of God's moral and righteous laws for Love to prevail for Peace and Safety for Heaven on Earth as promised for The Promised Land to come...Come...Love is not a cortisol stress hormone but a naturally occuring endorphin blood made whole and One in our body which is The Temple for God's Love to dwell...Truth... Goodness! It's magnificent! I have known the piece for as long as I can remember. But this rendition under James Southall is something else. The Welsh Opera is fantastic.
