WNYE was the best channel to watch as a child alongside Thirteen/WNET. All thanks to Mrs. Cherrywinkle, Big Comfy Couch, and lots of good kids shows. I really miss those days so much.

WNYE was a secondary affiliate of PBS from 1970 until December 2004, when the station ceased airing all programs from PBS that were not local programs. The only programs that channel 25 cleared from the network were those that were not cleared by channels 13 or 21, which were mostly part of APS/APT. The children’s programs would disappear from channel 25 at the end of 2019 and were replaced with factual E/I programs.

That’s right! There are lots of season 6 and 7 episodes of the big comfy couch rerunning on PBS kids from 2003-2007 just like KidZone kid of the day in the 1990s in the beginning of hoo’s in the forest from Barney & friends in 1994!

A girl draws a KidZone logo on a piece of paper with red and blue crayons from Barney & friends: going places comes after the young girl says, “Ouch!” In the JokeZone from Barney & friends: tremendous trees at the end of TeleTubbies: music with Debbie version 2 in 1998 before the big comfy couch: wobbly in 1998!
