A couple suggestions (based on my experience) Toxin Weapon is redundant as you have better spells for applying poison (Venomous discharge for low morale and Venom Snare for high). Replace it with Elemental Plague and enjoy seeing statuses being applied instantaneously. Also, as long as poison status is active other statuses don't get depleted. So once fire status is applied, just go for Venom Snare and Elemental plague.

Which I simply don’t understand. They add in the huge quality of life of embedding so you can get the right stats you want on gear but then they make getting the 5* and graces so incredibly rare that you are grinding the same amount as before

@@robertsnead2319 yeah man. 5 star gear has to be more than just and extra jewel slot. You should actually get an increase in defense/damage. That’s a start

@@Whutever42 if not more grinding. I’m almost to the point where I’ll just do what I can with my 4 Star gear. What are you really gaining with 5 Star? Then if it’s a weapon, you have to hope it has the arts that you like on it 😩

@SirDiplomat if you do generally like the game though I can't recommend nioh 2 enough it's everything in wo long but better with way more to do , pretty much any thing good in wo long is just a copy and paste assett from nioh 2 lol

I followed this build with some alterations and ended up with a good Halberd/Hammer set. Its a little more glassy cannon in most areas, but I'll get it to work more often as most places I had completely one sided in my favor once I got my defense buff active.

Random question, I have a 5 piece white emperor set I believe it was and the 70 metal but it never showed the metal sub active. Do I have to have a 6th piece?

If the subtlety of metal phase is greyed out then it isn’t going to be up. You need at least 6 pieces for it to enable or 5 with a set mitigation piece

Overall, Nioh is better yes. That said, I do appreciate how the gear is more streamlined in Wo Long, less time spent in menus and weighing out gear potentials. Granted the gear isn't an issue until what, NG++? Until then its just put on the better gear every few levels, sell and salvage the rest.
