I was thankfully introduced to this band from a dear friend from across the pond . I consider this the most beautiful version of this song . I had the privilege of seeing them live late 2022 . I am an old boy but I giggled many times in disbelief what I was watching . Utterly stupendous…Words difficult to express ..❤❤❤
Saw them last week at Wolftrap Amazing show. No long introductions or talking at all. Just walked on stage and started playing. 12 piece band moving as one

Just saw them last Saturday in Indy. They played this and absolutely killed it and every other song they played! For my money they are the band touring today!!!!
I’ve been listening to and playing Susan Tadeschi songs since she released her album ‘just won’t Burn’. When Derek Trucks joined it took her band to an entirely new level. Midnight in Harlem to me is a seminal performance for the band. She spent quite a bit of time In Memphis Tn when she first started. Love this band!
I was lucky enough to see her as early as junior high talent shows, high school jam bands, gigging in the 1980's, her first album, etc, etc. She's always been a class act, and then she married a class act. They're both super cool, down-to earth people.
Derek is a prodigy at 8 yrs.old, had his own band. Susan was on Broadway stages at 6 yrs old. Susan Studied at Berkeley. Both met at a Louisiana Blues bar. This is history in the making as the greatest group ever in music, of Gospel, Jazz, blues, Southern Rock. Best members in this group, in my lifetime. Roll on TTB.
Great reaction to one of the best bands around. Susan was a force on her own but with her husband Derek and his guitar playing with a super talented band to support left me breathless when I saw them live.
Derek really is a fantastic guitar player, and I would argue he should be mentioned with all the great guitarist. He actually does some covers of famous songs known for their guitar riffs (example: Layla) and he can play with the best of them for sure.
He is elite for sure, and arguably the best slide player in the world right now. Just sat in with Phish for most of a second set. No special songs for him , he just fit in and masterfully added to each tune.
I got to see Susan Tedeshi at our local bluesfest in Ft. Smith, Arkansas and she was fantastic. Her husband, Derek Trucks, grew up in the Allman Brothers. (His uncle? Butch Trucks, played percussion for them) They both had great bands before getting together. Now they have a large band and are much better as the sum of their parts.
One of the best bands I ever found probably. Truly, watching the music truly hit you and take you was so wonderful as well. You can't help it, it just sways you. :) It's a beautiful thing!
she doesn't remind me of Beth Hart but she does remind me of Bonnie Raitt..... a lot....... and that's a good thing..... the world can use as much Beth Hart and Bonnie Raitt as it can get.
