I am with Maya you can't be free from something and still maintain that thing's image. Lets be real. Lets be us guys, let's be true to our skin. Be proud of our country Mother Africa the mother of inventions. The mother of natural resources

@Mark Hall Africans in the soil or Africans in the diaspora we are all Africans and we are all the descendents of this continent. Circumstances separated us but we are one. One love keeps us together, we are ready to welcome y'all to Africa one day when you feel like coming. I am not condemning or shaming anyone but calling our Cities or towns with a particular name just to be recognized is not good

I totally agree with Wode Maya. Embracing Kumerica is like bringing back slavery. what the is Kumerica??? For real Ghanians??? An Amercian person would never associate him or herself with ghana or Africa. Like what are we doing???? Can we please focus and love what we are for once?? thanks
@bigshow2cool
@bigshow2cool 3 года назад
Naw we do associate ourselves with Africa, not all but a good number of us do. You’re right though many are lost as well. That statement is too generalized. There are many that love everything Africa but is either scared to make that move or feel too deeply rooted here.

Wode Maya is very right!! We Asantes should stop caling Kumasi kumerica!!! That is an insult to our father the Asantehene!! Kumasi has a rich history and culture that was there before there was any America --- America a country built by Afrikan slavery, blood, sweat and tears is only 224 years old, Asante empire dates back to the first Asantehene in 1690 more than 330 years so America is nothing!!! We should be proud Asantes and embrace our rich, history, language, tradition and culture.

Mark Hall you’re missing the point. They are not shaming us, their African brothers and sister. Instead the country and how it was built. I’m with them, I could careless about America. Our ancestors built this place but we still get the crumbs. They promote our ignorant brothers and sisters and kill off the bright and unlocked ones. Yet you care what they say about America. That word should not be used injunction with any African land... ever! If you really knew... and know the fact that we were Native Americans then that too would make you feel even more insulted. It was never their land to call America to begin with. We’ve sailed and settled in “America” long before slavery my brother. Just to dive further into that. I know this is not going to be a popular opinion but the current countries names and borders are not what our ancestors created so realistic they can go too but first and foremost, America... no. This country only thrived and continue to thrive from the enslavement of Africans. Not one thing they have produced here is anything new or of any major significance to the world. I promise you that... all the way down to flying. That’s facts. So why do we put so much praise into these thieves and the current country they created. No fam, you just live here and that’s how you should look at it. You’re ancestors was taking against their will. What did you receive in return? Crumbs of the pie. Are schools as good in black neighborhoods as they are white? Are police as understanding and passive as they are in white neighborhoods? If they want you to succeed why not give you proper text books and lab equipment? Cost? I didn’t know leaves cost anything 🤷🏽‍♂️. They pricing knowledge but keep it out of reach of black people, letting us afford old information. Oh but you feel slighted because our brothers feel some type of way about using America with an African city. Come on bro!!

Wode you are the real mvp man! I’ve always tell our brothers and sisters that’s from the motherland not to envy us Americans... for the material things we have or because we seem more “educated”... we are taught what they want to teach us. Then a lot of us get so proud in that piece of paper they received saying they are well educated, but in what? Half of what we learn are straight lies! So what did you learn? Then majority of us don’t work in the field in which we receive our degrees in. It’s so much that if you don’t keep your eyes open you will most certainly be their puppets.

There is a difference between towns and neighbourhoods... no doubt Miami is a mixture of cultures from the Caribbean, still don’t know if there’s enough Haitian to warrant a Haitian town in Miami... difference in population warrants neighbourhoods, village, towns and city...There is a little Haiti culture centre in Miami, but not a town. I live in a village of 68,000 ! Not a town...🤷🏽‍♀️

@boatengsamsonda-costa2798
@boatengsamsonda-costa2798 3 года назад
Kumasi is not Ghana's capital, and it's not a modern city either, but I don't know how you can call a settlement with about 3.5 million people a small town/city. The population of Accra and Kumasi are very close, though infrastructure wise, there's this huge disparity, Accra being one of Africa's most modernised cities, and Kumasi remaining a center of culture and traditions, a traditional, typical African city for that matter.

I can’t wait to visit Kumasi. But I agree with Maya please don’t mix America with Ghana I am white and my husband is from GHANA I am from the United States please my message to especially the youth in Ghana know the treasure you have know the opportunities you have. America is not what you think money does not come easy everything is with the price you give up life itself and a lot of people by the time they retire to be able to enjoy life don’t make it. You work to make someone else rich meanwhile everybody is so tired and busy they do not have time for friends and family. Another sad thing that happens here in the United States is people put their parents in nursing homes and other people take care of them. The workers in the nursing homes definitely do not take care of the people well and the people that are in the nursing home rarely get visit from their children or family so they are left to die in strangers care who do not treat them with respect or dignity. There are some very bad things that go on everywhere in the world no place is perfect. The Lord willing in one year we will be moving permanently to GHANA I personally am looking forward to A slower paced life where I can enjoy doing business helping my husband having my garden and a few animals and farming I was really touched by Maya video about giving to the farmers and that is my heart I want to go and meet the people that are on our land I want to be a blessing once again please be thankful for what God has given you and where God has allowed you to be bored please do not try to change and be like America you will regret it one day. God bless you for your videos and all you do I plan on making videos to show people how beautiful Ghana is And most of all how beautiful the people are inside and out 🙌🏽🇺🇸✈️🇬🇭🙌🏽❣️

Amazing words and they need to hear it from a white sister. We’re all family but the evil stuff they are doing here in America... well we all just need to leave them to deal with each other. You’re right they can have all my material things for a peace of mind. One suggestion though. Don’t say you wish in a yr. I understand things happen out of our control. I know but what I’ve done... win or lose getting everything I need accomplished here I’m gone in a yr. that’s facts!!! So say you’ll be in Ghana in a yr 😊. Don’t let them keep you longer than you want to be here.
