Woke Australian Break Dancer Breaks The Olympics. Australian break dancer Raygun (Rachael Gunn) scored a perfect zero in the women's break dancing at the Paris 2024 Olympics. She has a PhD in cultural studies, graduating in 2017 - her PhD thesis focused on "the intersection of gender and Sydney's breaking culture'.

🤔🕵🏽‍♂️How convenient that her husband and friends were the judges at the QMS Oceania Championships! And that ballroom was not accepted at the Olympics, which Raygan admitted is what she has specialized in her whole life in interviews! And how convenient that the same system for ballroom dancing that was set up to take all that money from the Olympics was the one who took over and accepted the Olympic contract for break dancing and got to decide who got to go!! And even more convenient when you further analyze all the dancers there cosplaying as urban youth break dancers....AND THEY'RE ALL FROM OTHER DANCE BACKGROUNDS AND MAINLY BALLROOM TAP AND CLASSICAL DANCE WHO CONVENIENTLY WON AND WENT TO REPRESENT THEIR COUNTRY!!!!!!!!! The other day I saw Let's Make a Deal on the TV somewhere, and saw all the people wearing ridiculous Halloween costumes, I had forgotten that show existed and that weird tradition. Got me wondering how it started, I came up with some scenario where a long time ago a crazy lady came to the filming wearing a bumblebee costume or something like that, because she's crazy and she just wears that sometimes. One of the producers was like "Yes!!!!!! Let's do that! Price is Right is kicking our ass, we need a gimmick!!" That's probably how she got into break dancing.

Despite the clear talent and qualification of other outstanding female breakdancers like G Clef and Holy Molly, they were unfairly overlooked. The NT Yaulong Boys, a group of incredibly talented and underprivileged youth from the Norther Territory, were denied crucial funding by Dr. Gunn to attend the qualifiers-a decision that directly impacted their chance to showcase their skills on a national stage. Disturbingly, Dr. Gunn went on to win her own qualifier, defeating other phenomenal breakdancers, raising serious questions about the fairness and integrity of the process. If Dr. Gunn's husband is indeed the Australian coach and part of the selection panel, this represents a blatant conflict of interest that cannot go unchecked. We demand a public apology from Rachel Gunn and Anna Mears for misleading the Australian public and attempting to gaslight the public and undermining the efforts of genuine athletes. We also call for a full investigation into the selection process, an audit of Dr. Gunn's business dealings, and a global public apology to the breaking community for the unethical behavior that has tainted this sport. Rachel Gunn's lack of ethics and morals raises serious concerns about her fitness to teach and hold any position of authority in the sport, or university.

You probably did not do it well to have an opinion like this. Nowadays, to make it to the top takes skills comparable to the highest level of gymnastics. And if scoring the overall effect of the performance was not another similarity, the battles are confrontational and elimination based, which lends itself a principe from competitive sports. I am sure there are much crappier disciplines at Olympics that require far less from their participants.

Not only does it make these events less cringe, but it helps to mitigate bias in competition. Sure, referees could still be biased but hey, at least you removed half the issue.
