As someone who is LGBT, I strongly agree with you, and for the most part, kids don’t give a crap about those kinds of themes, and they shouldn’t have to at such an early age, they can learn what love is and can understand that some kids have same sex parents, cus there are kids with 2 moms or 2 dads, but that’s it, no teaching that about sexuality or orientation, it’s not appropriate for someone that young.

I CAN go bowling with friends and not take someone to bed to pick up a new significant other. Most of my relationships are platonic but a lot of movies and shows bring in the "beyond platonic relationship" stories. When I was growing up, the idea of kissing someone beyond a peck on the lips was gross. There are a lot of movies marketed toward kids that hint at going beyond the long kiss. I prefer the, "We are all just friends who hang out to go on adventures" media content. I tolerate the "beyond and roll my eyes at it because it's hard to not go beyond without becoming Amish.

Not always but taking the writer's perspective, shipping two or more characters and challenging the ship or sinking the ship in order to build a new ship is very easy to do and takes over a lot of what is otherwise a good plotline. I imagine a meeting about the direction of the storyline where the team is stuck and trying to come up with new ideas. Then someone speaks up, "What if we have A cheat on B with B's best friend C? That will free up B to go find true love with D!" "I LIKE IT AND THE AUDIENCES LOVE IT! We can even make D be coworkers with E, and B will think D is cheating on her with E! Let's run with it!" Too much drama for the sake of Drama. Emperor's New Groove is a great example where this doesn't happen. The only relationship is a pre-established Marriage + kids. The adventure is between two individuals who are at odds with each other going against a Boss and her Underling. If anything happens in that movie, I blocked it from my memory and ignored it.

Even if true, it will take years to wash out the DEI productions already shooting. So do not expect anything reliable from them for another two years. Nah, they let too many of those folks get entrenched near the top. Folks who would rather push a message than make money. It will just change forms, and become hidden. Guys in the boys bathroom, look in the background and a note on the stall saying it's ok to wear dresses. Or, this urinal has been used by a woman disguised as a dude, playing another dude for the BBC. A woman with a mustache on the side of a binder they will show for a brief moment, but not focus on it. Dudes kissing as one of the main characters flips through TV channels. Background character or extras with rainbow colored beanie on looking like a soy boy. Or in a cafe, LGTV couple holding hands off the reflection of the salt shaker. They will do it for several years, point out no one complained about this movie and it made this much money. And bam, it's back in modern movies after maybe a decade.
