ironically the Saxons were NOT indigenous came to England for about thirty or forty years in small boats and then when in big enough numbers they are thought to have massacred the local population in East England.. then the Danes did the same thing after we let our defences run down again ---- also you guys attack trans people a lot in your thinking on the new culture forum But You're attacking the wrong people when you attack trans people.. they could help you get the left on your side if you all see that freedom of thought And homosexuality/lgbt etc is something that Sharia laws do NOT tolerate and they attack people just for being trans or gay etc. it's written in the koran that they are to kill gays... so it's a big miss if you are going to attack lgbt when they could be the key to getting the left on side with your aims i thought we valued protecting freedom, not religously condemning people for wanting to live free lives maybe you should become muslim if you hate trans so much you see my point???
I live in Germany and I am Angel Sachsen. This means we English (ethnicity counts) are all Germanic. My countries government has just declared our Flag Deutsche (German) flag will not be allowed to fly once the Footy has come to an end. This is why I vote for the AfD (Alternative für Deutschland), we want our country back, just as you Brits do. Especially the English because the Scots and Welsh can display their flags with pride, but not the English. You must put an end to this. As a good example, the Scots and Welsh have their own parliaments but the English do not.

I am a Muslim and not an Anglo Saxon. I do not even live in Britain. And I feel extremely outraged by this. Being proud of your roots is not racism towards others. I love the British culture and it's history. Britain will only remain a fascinating place, if and only if, it holds on to it's culture, it's history and identity. This extreme wokeness is madness.
wait, why do you mention your religion? the issue is about tribe/race. I am Christian but it has little to do with ths discussion. One tool of wokeness that is very disturbing to me is the racialisation of Islam. Any human being can become a Muslim and when the West uses Islam to denote a different race it is a form of fitting everyone into a white-centric box.
@@RedRiverMan You're reading too much into it. I was just highlighting the fact that even people who are different appreciate the preservation of the Anglo Saxon identity. We are speaking in a historical sense. And historically, the Anglo Saxons were not Muslims. So I just mentioned it to highlight empathy from others. I know very well that religion and race is not the same. Another reason I mentioned my religion was that some people generalise Muslims and feel that Muslims are all hardcore fanatics and want to supplant other religions and cultures, and I want to emphasize that it's not true.

English genetically are about 10% Anglo-Saxon from the 500AD movement of 200,000 into England of 2m. About 50% Celtic, from 3000BC invasion of people from Ukraine with better carts, horses, and crops (Celtic languages are in IndoEuropean family of languages which spread west into west Europe post 3000bc). 48% is Ancient European farmer which spread from mideast with farming 8000BC, yes from Turkey when that area was all very tan but very white people. And 2% is Ancient hunter gatherers who in 20000bc came from Spain as glaciers retreated.. Genetics proves this, all West Europe is mostly Turkish and Ukrainian. To Asians us W Europeans look very alike for a reason, we ARE mostly alike. A pure Spaniard can be mistaken for a Swede or Romanian, it's just false to say we genetically aren't mostly the same. ... Language the AngloSaxons did give us English, which is a great language, thanks you crazy 10% coming in big rowboats in 500AD with swords and sheep and wife and daughters.. the Germans to do this 10% exceeded by far the Norman invasion of 0.1% (20,000 french amid 2m english peasants).... It's so funny people don't know their own Turkish, Ukrainian blood and think entire population of island all the towns and farms was replaced by lots and lots and lots rowboats from denmark.. No.
My life involves learning history. You can't be that proud of your heritage when you refuse to investigate what is common knowledge. As a rude person I sort of think you can't really be Anglo-Saxon, probably some Italian cuckolded your dad and granddad. Italians!!!
@@alexwilliamrussell According the most recent study the Anglo-Saxons displaced about 80% of the population in what is now Eastern England. So English people are primarily descended from the Anglo-Saxons.
To ramble in fun. .. no. , it's not 80% anglo saxon, no geneticist for England says that..."""They found that on average 25%-40% of the ancestry of modern Britons is attributable to the Anglo-Saxons. But the fraction of Saxon ancestry is greater in eastern England, closest to where the migrants settled."""" So 40% along e coast and ABOUT 1/3 ON AVG... Wales and Cornwall and Ireland are near zero .... So 1/3.... But 1/3 is crazy high, it was a massive movement of mostly German men in like 500,000 wave over century, in like clumps of 10000 hitting a small valley each decade, and coming and killing half the local men and talking half the women. The Germans alone moved in big epic bunches, a volkwandering. You hear Roman generals complaining of 50000 mob of Germans wandering thru over decade and too many to risk army of 5000 to kill off.... Like a small loud bike gang of mostly men and some women, we can't easily picture why Germans were able to move so many.... . You can see how they also wandered and dominated Spain, France, Italy but probably making up 10% of these.. . They make the mongol and Norman invasions seem like light polite landlords..... #2. The Germans and Celts were already similar, living 300 miles apart since 2000 bc they were already about half turkish farmer stock and half 2000bc horse-cow-cart stock (the Ukrainian Yamnaya who in 3000bc in carts also were the other 1 big volk wandering)... To say mid England is special cuz it's anglo saxon is fun but a stretch, ok 1/3 came from villages on other side of north sea... It's not like it was unique invasion of Chinese or Nigerians, with a strange culture, both were half hand grown wheat and half cattle farming culture with iron tools and swords. The celts losing so bad was weird, bad leadership and maybe pandemics which AngloSaxons magically had immunity??? Can you tell a welshman celt face from a danish face?? No. They from 2000bc are similar stock... Compare to my aunt a Finn with black hair and eyes which are sunken deep, like a witch, and about third of Finn women uniquely have this look, now that's a true different stock -- coming from being on other end of 200 miles of impassable bog at Swedish border and Russian border..... AngloSaxons did massively force their language on the other 2/3, England was 1 Roman province that lost it's Romance language to a Germanic one, Romance langs kept on under Franks in Paris, Vandals in Spain, Goths in Italy, E goths in Romania....... The only later big invasions was 800ad hunnic into Hungary of 10%, and Bulgarian in 1200ad into Bulgaria 10%, as guesses ..... sorry to ramble, fun to ponder why should present people think they are sooooo unique vs neighbor across a small sea... I'm no smarty but this seems true.... I wonder if Koreans also are secretly same genes as neighbors from 2000bc era events, and the great 6000bc rice farmer takeover and 3000bc pig farmer mini invasion. As one can see, farming tech was what led to ancient part takeovers, and the Anglo Saxons did NOT have a tech advantage they just were tougher and pushy bastards vs celts and romano to get that 1/3... Mostly the local farmers hiding in forest little valleys do NOT get replaced, the same folk who farmed a square mile in 2000bc are likely there in 1700 using same tiny plow and hiding grain in buried pots amid buried cottages to avoid whatever noble fighting was dragging on for centuries in endless sword fights of Lord X vs Lord Y gang vs gang of 1% ... I'm no expert but generally this is the story .. fun I think... Man I'm glad post 1700 we broke out of the 10000 year hard farming era into steel and steam and commerce era, olden times was static and sucky mostly for long times... That the top 1% changed when town 20 nobles got killed by nobles from other end of county, this mattered little to the 99% farmers hiding and bowing when needed... A noble class in town w disease usually numbers fell, the farmers 99% bred like rabbits century after century... Right?... Invasion is small side of population, breeding is main part? Peace
@@nealgrimes4382 Except as has already been pointed out to you "Viking" is a verb. Unless you were out raiding other people you would simply be called a Norseman which is still used today. You're as bad as these post-modernist so-called academics with your zeal to deny our cultural history.
@Silurist The Normans exterminated approximately 75% of the Anglo-Saxon population in Northern England to send a message as it was further from the centre of power. Wessex escaped the worst of the Norman atrocities. Yes, the English side of my family has been in the Westcountry for as long as I can trace back. Some branches may have been Cornish but most were from Wessex. My Mother's side is the McKenzie Clan and were originally from the West Highlands and Hebrides although my Grandparents moved to Fife for work before having children. My Mum used to spend Summers in Benbecula in the Hebrides with Aunts and Uncles. I'm mainly West Saxon and Gaelic Scottish but I expect there's a little Cornish,Pictish and Norse floating around in the mix too.
@Silurist The ancestors of Scotts came from the Scotti from Dal Riata. They were an Irish Gaelic people. They intermixed with the "Picts" who were the Celtic Britons of Alba. These mixed people then referred to themselves are Gaelic(Irish). The people in the lowlands were different they were know as Cumbrians (Celtic) and by and large did not intermix in the beginning. These people lived in their land of Ystrad Clut(Kingdom of Strathclyde). Over time the Anglo-Saxons in Northumbria intermixed with the Cumbrians and this formed the basis of Scots people that became absorbed by Gaelic Highlander Kingship and culture. Scots language developed separately from English. High land and low land culture and genetics can vary largely. So the Scottish identity Ethnic mixture and culture is intrinsically Irish, Briton, and Germanic(Anglo-Saxon). There is added Norse and Norman DNA as well. In the western Isles many of the descendants of Vikings continue to live to this day. My own family was among this group before marrying into clan Douglas. During the reign of the house of Normandie many Scottish nobles married Norman nobles. King Robert de Brus is a prime example of this.

Don’t give two fks about what others say, be proud of your identity and heritage. Cheers!
Yes, no more prejudice! People have differences from individuals to language groups. If you're born here, you're native. If your ethnicity is your 'nationality', you're indigenous.... (Hopefully it's obvious that that's with no disrespect to multiracial or migrant people, I'm not laying out a hierarchy of 'belongs' here) You know, I want the indigenous people of Australia to have an exalted voice for what goes on, unfortunately the non indigenous voices out number and hold the ultimate decision. Surely that's wrong. Surely democracy had been used against them. Mind you, in the legal world Aboriginal people have only been Australian citizens for around sixty years and were classed as fauna. Democracy has never really been fair.
Start teaching Saxon English in schools, like the Welsh and Scots and Irish do with their ancient languages. Its time to stop pretending to be embarrassed about Englishness because racists think that its racist to be English.

This is simply untrue. South east Scotland has some Anglo heritage but that's about it. The rest is Pictish, Gaul and Briton, all Celtic tribes and Norse too. There was no big Anglo Saxon migration into Highlands, isles, west, north east or deep into the country it was mostly south east coastal areas around Edinburgh etc. Anglo Saxon heritage needs to be protected but so does our Celtic heritage too and the erasure of either identity is ethnic erasure of a native people.
You do not understand history. The Scots were a Gaelic speaking people from Ulster in Ireland who settled east into what is now Scotland. They merged their language and culture with the Picts and Britons who spoke a similar but separate Celtic language creating the modern Scottish people. Yes we speak English but that does not change our ethnic background or history. Why are you trying to erase Celtic identity? I would never do this to Anglo Saxons, I don't see why you would want to do this to us.

I am from Germany (by the way from Schleswig-Holstein where Angles and Saxons who migrated to Britannia in the 5th century originate from). In the meantime something like Germanophobia is widespread in my country as well, even among our government.
In the US the term Anglo Saxon has been adopted by some right wing identitarians as it was being used pejoratively, as in the dismissive term WASP (White Anglo-Saxon Protestant). So it is being re-claimed in the same way that Queer and the n-word wave been. The term Anglo Saxon is not racist, trying to obliterating it certainly is.
I suppose I'm a "right-wing identitarian" since anyone right of Marxist or Progressive is now considered "right-wing" in the US. But I've never heard the term Anglo-Saxon used by white supremist groups in the US (only seen them in the movies or media, never met a white supremist in the flesh). But in the movies, and MSM any time they've had a white supremist on they've always just self-identified as "white," it's in the name "white supremist," none of them are running around saying Anglo-Saxon Supremist. And the term WASP has been used for at least a century. It most refers to white protestants in the northeast, and yes it was kind of used as a pejorative term, by non-WASPs to describe them.
The term WASP is used by ignorant Americans, all Anglo-Saxons are white skinned, there are no black or coloured Anglo Saxons. The Dutch use the word," Neger", to refer to a black skinned person, nobody gives a damn about the use of this word ! The Spanish use the word ," Negro ", nobody bothers themselves !

And before you accuse me of being whatever left woke names you're likely to call me I actually agree with what they say in this video, you can't change history and Cambridge University stopping teaching about Anglo-Saxon Britain is nuts
Anglo-Saxon is a tribal designation. The word England means the land of the Angles. Oddly, the folk living in the land of the Angles came to calling themselves Saxons. Either way, those are my tribes. That's why an immigrant from, say, Pakistan can become British, but he can never become English. That is not his tribe. In the same sense, I could move to Zululand, but I could never become Zulu. And don't get me started on the Jutes. There are a couple of Jute families down the road from me. Those people are not quite right. Even worse are that Norman bunch. I am still furious over the Norman Conquest. We've never received so much as a brass farthing in reparations. Makes my blood boil.
Why don't you actually read some history? What is now England was NOT the "land of the Angles," it was split between the Angles in Mercia and Northumbria, the Saxons in Wessex and along the south coast and nearby (the names Sussex and Essex speak for themselves), and the Jutes in Kent. There were also Frisian settlements here and there on the east coast. (The Frisian language remains the closest language to English.) All these folk were closely related, and their languages were VERY similar. England is called England and not Saxonia or some such because the majority of the land was claimed by the Angles, not the Saxons. But it was the Saxon kings of Wessex who united the Germanic kingdoms into one country. The Saxon Alfred the Great saved England from being totally taken over by the Danes. Needless to say, not all Angles and Saxons emigrated to the western island: many of their descendents still live in northwestern Germany, the northern Netherlands, and southern Denmark.
Another grand name university loses it's tiny mind. You hear such tales just about every day these days. Is it something in the water, or air pollution ? Something has to be causing this widespread insanity.
it is also teaching students that Anglo-Saxons are not an ethnic group. Wow. The genocide goes on. Tell it to the Kings who fought the Vikings and Normans. Of course we are a group and have absorbed both Norman and Viking too. The fact we are no longer to be called an ethnic group is just another step in our erasure.

This anti-white hate is funny to me because unlike how it was in the past, this isn't white people disliking blacks because they just saw them as a lesser peoples, it is the opposite. Today, these people seem to just be envious of Europeans and Asians and are constantly trying to essentially sell themselves as victims or claim to be better when they themselves don't even believe it. I have no clue if it is because Europeans and Asian people groups had such impressive histories and instances of war victories, because the people are just sexy, I have no clue. It could even be as deep rooted in psychology as black being a negative color and white being positive because of the associations with darkness, light, fear and purity. Most psychologists fear researching such things for controversial reasons, but this is just fascinating to me.

If I am not mistaken, Britain’s Tolkien had a passionate interest in Anglo Saxon culture, history and myth. People were surprised that he didn’t side with French Arthurian romance…
When I was a child in the 1950s, the language that English derived from was called 'Anglo-Saxon'. After a few years they changed that to 'Old English'.
I was born in the 50's too, the year Elizabeth became Queen, I've always thought of myself as Anglo Saxon / Celtic ( Irish Father ) but I'm certainly " Old English " now.😊
Anglo-Saxons, be proud of your heritage! You have much ti be proud of! Sweep aside any foreign invaders or ethno-masochists who try to disenfranchise your people within your own nation! Anglo-Saxons is not a "racist" term, anyone with a basic knowledge of history and sociology can tell you that, they are a people native to europe and England! Trying to erase them as a people , especially in their own nation, that is racist! Britain belongs to the britons🇬🇧🇮🇲🏴🏴🏴
In Canada they don't even know what indigenous people they are talking about. They group them all together as one people when in fact there were dozens of different tribes that were completely different from each other. Goes to show the level of ignorance these people possess. Their ideology is always very simplistic and generic.
@@TonyMontanaDS total BS plenty of people know who lived here before them and even some of the history. Just had a conversation yesterday about a burial site of the Kwantlen nation in my old town, everybody non status too. You ever see a land acknowledgement where land is set to be given back?
@@jjrossitee Plenty of people do, but not the wokes who claim colonialism. They just use generic terms. Either way, they were conquered and colonized by a superior civilization and that is just human history! Imagine if everyone on the planet had to give land back. Where do you star and where do you stop?
Anglophobia and Blancophobia is real. And those hateful people are not going to just go away because they were asked nicely. I'm afraid that if we are to preserve our own history and heritage then we're going to have to hurt a few fee-fee's.
@@borninjordan7448 I fear that you're correct. It's Marxism and it's ugly. Behind it all are evil people with sinister agendas, brainwashing an army of useful idiots that they will dispose of once they're no longer useful. According to history it'll be done in brutal fashion. It must be stopped.
