He was the only one who required emergency surgery. She has accusations of violence leveled against her from previous girlfriends. His exes came out to publically defend him. Claiming that he never raised a hand against any of them. None of that seems to matter though, since the 'man always abuser / woman always victim' narrative runs so strong. The only option a beaten man has, is to leave the scene... or make recordings, wherever that is a legal option. And even that can be framed as abusive behvior. This while an abusive woman has the Duluth Model policy, as well as a full social bias to excuse her from the accountability for her actions. Thats not to say that deliberate alienation cant be a method of psychological abuse. It certainly can. But it hardly seems to have been the case here.
