I started listening to this song around March, sadly my dad passed on April 19th. He was the first person here in my eyes, and he will always be my last my last man on this earth. May the light shine on him always . 🖤
I think when I first heard Don't delete the kisses. I loved them. Then they had a heavier sound which I liked. Now this. They keep changing it up. That's the mark of a great band.
@@joexkid9059 I think you nailed it when you said musicians, I think they are all really skilled at their instruments and playing really tight as a band.
Listen, I've listened to nearly every B-side, every live track avaliable online and every other song they've done from 15 plays for some songs upto about 400 maybe more for others and I can say that I only ever found one track I didn't like. That track was Wednesday (sorry if that's anyone's favourite) and it's an old B-side I think from years ago that is very unknown. Out of 2 albums though, multiple singles and EPs and live tracks one song being not to my taste (wouldn't say it was a bad song) is bloody impressive.
@@blurdynamic9118 It's incredible how they're able to make good songs from all kind of genres, be it grunge, shoegaze, all the way to folk. Incredible.
@@w.neuman Well we have a difference of opinion ! the appreciation of all art is subjective of course. As a matter of fact my current top three acts are LP, Low and the National . Wolf Alice a little further down but I really like this track. The second best I have heard this year after "Loneliness " by Birdy . Funnily enough another track sung /played at the piano !
I'm 59 so it takes something special to make me sit up and take notice. This band are special. If they don't go into orbit there's no justice in this world !!
Indeed Richard , I'm 51 and not been excited by new music untill I found Wolf Alice via the T2 soundtrack . Their first 3 albums are a stunning triple that no other band have achieved in years imo
Wolf Alice was the band that truly opened my eyes to music in so many ways, Ellie's vocals helped me through a really tough depression that culminated in me seeing them live for the first time a few years ago, it was honestly one of the happiest moments of my life. This moment took me back through all the times I struggled and just left me full of goosebumps, simply amazing. Already pre-ordered the new album, this year is going to be great for many of us
It is a stunning track. Love the way they are keeping the performance ever so slightly on the back foot to suit the atmosphere in the room, as if to say wait until we perform this live when all of this shit is over !
I love how Joff uses his guitar in a very textural way. Adds a real uniqueness to their sound. This band is going to keep surprising and impressing us.
How can they make the live version even better than the original? Instantly one of my new favourite songs of theirs and my favourite new song of the year so far
Its just an instant classic. I’ve followed the band since before their first album and watched them grow and improve with each release. The arrangement is sublime and the band are now producing music of such beautiful maturity. They could possibly become one of our greatest bands.
What a sensational band. Best in the last 15 years. Refreshing to see everyone doesn’t need gimmicks and auto tune. Their songs are so creatively unique; a mix of humorous tongue-in-cheek and emotionally charged honesty. I just love them and can’t wait for the record.
Yes, she's extremely talented, but the piano part for this is very easy. Playing it in this song doesn't mean a whole lot. If she can genuinely play it to a good level she's exceptional
This is quite frankly the best song I’ve ever heard. Period. What, what a performance, absolutely exquisite. Speechless. I’ve played it over and over again. Thank god for repeat....just wow!
Wonderful song/performance. Bravo BBC Sound Department/engineering for giving so many of the artists on the Jools Holland Show the attention to detail they deserve.
I get chills thinking about them performing this live to the masses at Glasto or something post-covid. It's going to be extremely emotional and I can't wait.
I’ve never connected with a song as much as I have with this one. It’s a song that has spoken to me throughout my depression, but has given me so much reason to keep going and keep living. I’ll never be able to thank the people who made this song in person, but in the off chance they are reading: thank you.
Wolf Alice clearly put so much careful thought and attention to detail in every song that they make. Each song is a high quality work of art. Bravo for this fantastic live performance!!
I remember hearing wolf alice blush for the first time on Phil Tagart and Alice Lavines radio 1 evening show and it is so brilliant how far they've come, Awesome band :)
Wolf Alice have always had my attention, but this, this is just beautful (maybe because it's a song I wouldn't normally associate with them.... but, as I said, it's just beautiful (and it's been stuck in my head now, since I first heard it...)...)....
