@@I_Am_LazyLad I know someone did an interview with the VA where they ask him about it and the bits where Bigby has broken Woodsmans jaw, the actor actually holds his jaw for so long that it hurt.
@@diabolusabinfernum3461 The only people he truly loved in his centuries of life, were his mother, Snow and their children. His father the North Wind was a collossal asshole who abandoned his mother to die, (before he turned a new leaf and sacrificed himself for Bigby, his family and the Fabletown community fighting Mr Dark) and his brothers were all a bunch of asshole bullies too, from the time they were all pups. If he ever was fond of that stuck-up bitch Rose Red, I'm pretty sure his feelings evaporated during the sisters'-almost- war. Now, one might believe that Bigby is a total hypocrite when he acts high and mighty at some points, because before becoming a werewolf and the sherrif of Fabletown he was for centuries the monster to end all monsters but he really did become a new and better person when he did so, especially thanks to Snow's influence.
The magic coming from the city of 21st century made them both realise that there are bigger problems to be worried about than just being simple enemies to each other like in some kind of fairy tale.
This whole town is full of people trying to keep their shit together. Some of them are just better at making sure it don’t leak out and stink up the place.
There's another detail. At the business office, you can view the book of fables to see how Bigby's relationship with everyone is. The more you heal his relationship with the Woodsman, the pictures of Bigby and Woody change to be more peaceful instead of them attacking each other.
@@markusharroldhailey6688 Yes. She's in fact his top agent, although she does spend time in Fabletown and owns a shoe store there called "The Glass Slipper" that the Shoemaker (From the Shoemaker and the Elves fairy tale) runs and the Elves design and make the shoes in the basement!
I could never interrogate Woody. Man's been through too much, and I any time he and Bigby interacted in Episode 1 it always felt like Bigby deep down knew The Woodsman didn't kill Faith.
Thing with Woody is that the more a fable is known and recognized by normal people, the tougher they are. He only appears once but what doesn't know little red riding hood? That's why he might as well be immortal.
@@kanrascinematicgaming8687 And he did recognize that he was bad, it's just that he could not get himself together enough to turn things around... Bigby really does help him turn a new leaf if you choose to help him in the game. How ironic it turns out to be that the Big Bad Wolf turns out helping the Woodsman... but that's Fables for you. I mean he also got married to Snow White!
I'll admit, I'm actually surprised that I'm one of the only people that has played this game, and understood that glass him meant hitting him with a glass.
Fun fact, in the comics Bigby has 3 "tourists" who are basically Bigby's spies that recon other Fables outside Fabletown and the farm. In the comics Mowgli and Feathertop are seen. Bill Willingham has confirmed The Woodsman is the third tourist.
@Austin Neveau yes an original story based on Vertigo's Fables comics. 😅Kinda like how they did their own original take on Batman. Based on the DC comics 😅 See where I'm getting at? Like every comic book run, there's gonna be original story iterations that differ from one tale to another.
it's fair to mention that, when they met initially, Bigby was half the size he is now, meaning, if they'd fight for real, Woody would get eaten whole in one chomp.
@spacejesus6581 I don't think so with Bigby at full power. He was basically a demigod and killed tons of fables in his old life. Bear in mind he also killed Bloody Mary, who was one of the most feared fables.
@@dmaxwell910901 he can still be hurt, the original fable had the Woodsman cut Bigby’s stomach open and stuff it with rocks to drown him in the river, he can easily tear himself out of Bigby’s stomach and both would be completely fine in a week
@spacejesus6581 Yeah when he was still small, before he got to the point where he literally devoured armies. Plus I doubt that by the time he's in Bigby's stomach, he'd be in one piece. Besides, if Woody would survive, why didn't all the fables he devoured before and Bloody Mary?
Lol woodsman beat his ass the first time they met And apparently it wasn't the last time, so they fought more than once and are both still alive I think they're probably both immortal since the red riding hood tale is near the most famous one
I'm sure he will considering he's a character closely related to Bigby (at least by story anyways). I think it'd be nice if you could continue working with him like this
@@alfredocea7965 I’m also wondering if he’ll ever get glamours for him and his son, also I kinda want to see mr badger too and perhaps Snow’s sister “Rose Red”.
15:54 Love that part of dialogue between the two. It is the voice acting that sells it, really does sound like a convo between 2 guys who have been through a lot.
I'm sad telltale went under, i was really looking forward to the Wolf Among us 2. At least i think they hinted towards a sequel by the end of the this game with a pretty fat cliffhanger.
There's a new company that operates on the Telltale name now and some of the employees from old Telltale work there. For The Wolf Among Us 2 they also brought AdHoc Studio which also has some of the old Telltale's employees.
This is because just like in the comic all known Fables are plenty tough. The more recognizable and well known one becomes among the mundies (us normal humans) through the various iterations of his/her legend (stories, movies etc.) the more powerful he or she gets. Now the Woodsman is a pretty minor character, appearing in only one story but it's a story EVERYONE knows. That's why he's so tough. Bigby though, is no less than the god of wolves, in every sense.
@@oake6180 That's right. Also Totenkinder, is not just a single witch but EVERY witch in every tale where there is one, Hansel and Gretel, Beauty and the Beast, everywhere. Thus she is one of the oldest and most powerful Fables in existence.
I'm afraid you missed the twist Donkeyskin never died, she set off the investigation using one of the prostitutes that the pimp killed and assumed her identity in order to get bigby's attention, she's the one to plant the head on the doorstep The mermaid is actually Donkeyskin. Pretty sure Faiths dead before the game even starts because they both share the same dialogue 'Do you like my ribbon?'
actually, even that one might have been the mermaid girl in a glamour. It's a solid theory, some consider it canon. Edit: breadchips already said it all
It doesnt appear very much but in the comics there are a group known as the tourist. Who are básically Bigby spies who keep an eye on the Fables who chose to live outside of Fabletown or The Farm. It was confirmed that the woodsman is one of the Tourist
As a long time fan of the comics, one of the many things I love about this game is that it expands the comics' world by showing that seedier and less reputable side of Fabletown that is not shown in the comics, centred around the Trip-Trap and the Crooked Man's businesses. Grendel, Lilly, her sister, the Woodsman, Georgie Porgie etc, were a kind of outcast Fables, living in the fringes of Fable society while still living under Fabletown's laws. For example they all knew better than to reveal their nature to the Mundies, and that's why they bought glamours etc. Also it comes as absolutely no surprise that a total sleazeball and con-man like Jack of Fables would hang out around those Fables.
He's not, really. A drunkard, a wannabe robber, a prostitute beater. Not even close to being a "nice guy". But he is not a total scumbag like some other characters in the game, yes.
@Addicted To Chocolate A game with a good story and characters. And this is a interactive story driven game so gameplay isn't the most important thing. It is the narrative which Wolf Among Us has a great one.
