Very awesome to hear considering Donkey Kong Country on the snes was a huge influence for these tracks. And you hit it spot on with Aquatic Ambiance on this one. That tune to this day is the most influential piece we ever heard from David Wise. This track was a very rough tribute to that track since i was trying to also come up with a water theme. Obviously nowhere ever near David's work haha but we wanted to pay tribute in a sense.
Some of the freshest synthwave I’ve heard for a long time, reaaaaally good stuff. Feel like this genre has become extreemely watered down in the last 2 or so years after it’s taken off and exploded somewhat. Almost every single new artist/video that pops up on NewRetroWave sounds like the last one and don’t sound very special or that great at all. And have very non-80s sounding production and instrumentation (loud and boomy kick drums? non gated snares? no thanks) etc etc. I have total respect for what these artists are trying to do, maybe I'm just too picky, but it's definitely something I have noticed and I don't think it's just me that feels this way. But hearing stuff like this really gives me the sense of hope that there are still the Miami Night 1984’s, Mitch Murder’s, Lazerhawk’s, Perturbator’s, and now the WOLF AND RAVEN'S :D etc etc that are still yet to rise from the underground of the everflowing stream of for lack of a better word, total shit coming out. Thanks Wolf and Raven!
Thank you so much for these words! It really means a ton to us especially with this release because we really were trying something different with this one. It definitely has a different sound than most and is one reason we were wondering if it would even do well amongst the synthwave scene considering how most sound. Regardless though we love the tracks and we figured some in the scene would still appreciate it. Low and behold here you are ;D Truly thankful though again really appreciate the feedback. I think you will enjoy the upcoming album we have to be releasing in the next month. We definitely also plan on having a return to the platforms with more tracks but that is still in the works possibly for the end of the year or into the next! Nothing really set yet for that. Thanks again for the support!
I'm loving this, you guys really can do no wrong. Fractal Fathoms is on a WHOLE nother level, so much going on in there...I definitely think David Wise would approve. What's the story with the gal on the cover? Is she our in-game protagonist?
Thank you so much! This is one of our very first music released and im glad people are still just discovering it. As for the cover, yes you are definitely on the right idea. You might be one of the first that has asked us on this :) Shes in a few of our album covers if you have seen the others. I have a story somewhat in my head that ive had built trying to make these universes tie together. But a lot of it is centered around this being. It would be cool to unveil more of the idea, but maybe in a future when i have time to actually focus on it , i can build more on the story and characters.
@@WolfandRaven Well I would LOVE to see more of her and the rest of the Wolf+Raven Cinematic universe. Even if it's just concept art! What are the other albums?
