In this video, I show a visual comparison of the 3 styles of Wolf chimney ventilation hoods: "black glass", "stainless", and "glass". Sizes shown are 42 inch width and 36 inch width, in both island and wall installation application.
Model numbers:
1) 1st one, black glass model: 36” Cooktop Wall Hood - Black. VW36B
2) 2nd one. 36” Cooktop Wall Hood - Stainless. VW36S
3) 3rd one, 36” Cooktop Wall hood - Glass. VW36G
4) Inline blower unit - 600 CFM: 808331
5) Remote blower unit - 600 CFM: 801640

What is the best option for 42 chimney wall range hood ?

Hi Doina vv, Vent-A-Hood is a pretty good brand. Wolf and Thermador are great as well. On the more budget friendly side, I've used Zephyr hoods in the past too. Though these days, it just depends on how soon you need it, and what inventory is most available in your locale. At least from the vendors I work with in the SF Bay Area, most of everything has a multi-month lead time. Is this something you need right away? Checking w/ your local suppliers will be best.

sorry derek if you didn't find this information useful. when i was sorting through the information for myself on their website, it took me a little while and it wasn't super apparent to me up front. so i took the time to see the items in person and thought i'd share my finding. again, sorry you didn't find this helpful. we're just a small mom and pop store trying to be helpful is all. have a nice day
