I just found this video, thanks for reminding me to add the names for the Amiga keys. There's now AdLib sound and music in the game BTW, they are pre-rendered using the old DOSBox OPL emulator. Memory is not really an issue since the sounds are short and the music is streamed from the disk.
I tried out your new version now, and it's really impressive! Btw, I tried to launch it without fastmem and it actually worked if I chose to boot without startup sequence ;). Perhaps not all levels will work though.
@@d_vibe-swe That's good to hear! Yes it can run without any Fast RAM if you have enough free memory, but it will be much slower due to the low bandwidth. The renderer of the game is pretty memory intensive (darn you raycasting!), so you have to lower the screen size quite a bit.
This version do not have music, but I know that the author of this port added music in a version shortly released after I published this video. Keep in mind that the Amiga has 4 digital 8 bit PCM channels and no onboard synthesizer.
