This is my full re-recorded album for Wolfenstein 3D which features massive orchestral versions of just about every theme from the DOS classic. Music and themes by the great Bobby Prince, the arrangements for orchestra are my own.
Sadly, it appears that Wolf 3Ds menu music (HORST WEISSEL LIED) is on Germany's mythical and secret BPjM List. Germany filed a complaint with Spotify and my publisher has removed this album from any and all digital music stores.... but that means all of you now get to hear it for free in high quality. Enjoy!

This album is no longer available to purchase. Sadly, it appears that the Wolf 3D menu music (HORST WEISSEL LIED) is on Germany's BPjM List as it was the Nazi anthem. Germany filed a complaint with Spotify and my publisher has removed this album from any and all digital music stores.

This is perfect, i remember as a child listening to those old chip tunes and I imagined them as part of a bigger and full orchestrated soundtrack and now, almost 24 years later I finally found your work, and let me thank you from the heart of that child I was for making such astonishing re-recordings!

Out of all the remasters I have heard, this is by far the most professional and faithful to the original soundtrack, just brought out of MIDI. As a musician, I can appreciate that you actually took the time to think what the real world instruments would be. have you ever thought about covering the Spear of Destiny soundtrack?

This is absolutely fantastic. You have done a wonderful job. I 1st played Wolf 3D when I was about 5. The game was brand new and my father had it on his work PC. He showed me how to play and I remember spending days in his office, running around Nazi castles and shooting bad guys. As strange as it sounds, it was a bonding experience between me and my father. I just played this to him and brought tears to his eyes. He was transported back 30 years to when he was a young father and I was just a wee lad. Thanks so much xxx

I have very fond memories of this game myself, it was groundbreaking and definitely a huge reason I got into the game industry in the first place….ultimately working for John Carmack for a brief stint early in my career. ctpoint Barry and Jerry Goldsmith were definitely inspirations on this one. Nazi Rap is a direct homage to Goldsmith, even used a DX7 synth on that track (which Jerry used on tons of his own scores).

I was amazed at "Wondering at my loved ones". Never really cared about its clarinet enrichment in the game title... but this makes it sound like a main theme, like something you'd hear in Indiana Jones or Star Wars... very fascinating. "Get them before they get you" was mediocre... barely recognized it, but it can be listened to. "Enemy behind the corner" is awful. I was feeling it for a moment but the sad middle part was totally blown with something that doesn't at all sound what it should.

It does indeed, that was totally the idea :). In fact it even uses a DX7 synth which Goldsmith loved to utilize in many of his scores.

Thank you! I used loads of different stuff on this one. The horns in Nazi Rap and Get Them are from Project Sam Brass (from 2001), then loads of samples from Spitfire Audio (symphonic strings, symphonic brass, percussion etc), as well as an old DX7 synth on Nazi Rap.

Solid Beard You totally nailed the reference! Jerry Goldsmith is one of my all time favorite composers, and that piece inherently sounds Goldsmithian....all I had to do was add a genuine Yamaha DX7 bassline into the mix and we have a very nice Rambo homage. Glad you enjoyed it!

I have played this game so much as a teenager. 25+ years later, as a WWII History buff and serious amateur musician, I find your album. This is extraordinary work. I am blown away. The orchestration you used is in line with Nazi symbolism : big, brassy themes and copious use of the anvil echoes some of Richard Wagner's works. Searching for the Enemy and Suspense are my two favorite such tracks. Thank you for this gem. Hope you get the inspiration and the time to do other tracks from the same game.

Please use the word National Socialist ... "Nazi" only emphasizes the National part ... thank you, hope you understand that NS does not mean supremacists; there were blacks in the SS (Free Arabian Legion) and there were blacks integrated into the Wehrmacht ... WWII is a lot more complicated subject, neither side was good, neither side was bad ... Patton was the good part of the Allies and Rommel (and whatever ranking SS member sent him to assassinate Hitler) was the good part of the Axis ... geez, I'm imagining an alternate history in which Patton and Rommel team up against their bosses ... and win; better history then whatever timeline we live in ... I don't want Judaism to win, I don't wanna be a slave ... I'm mixed race, and I've read plenty of them religious works, and let me tell you ... the Abrahamic religions seek to enslave the gentiles ... hope you understand! :)

I meant Nazi as in the Americanized transliteration for National Socialist Workers Party, which as a word itself gained a further dimension over time. Anyhow, Nazi is really the word I meant to use. Allow me to respectfully point out that drawing attention away from the main subject here, which is Mr. Douglas' music, with an unsolicited (and in my opinion unwarranted) lecture my use of the word Nazi in this particular context is in bad form, if not in bad taste.

Oh yes mate, I was about 10 years old when I played Wolfenstein 3D on my old 286 computer xD (them midi sounds!). You've done a great job with no doubt =) Really? Nice! How did you go about making this album? Was it all done in a studio? (Iive band?).

The Gaming Ground I have fond memories of Wolf 3D myself....this album represents how I heard the in game music in my head while playing. So many hours spent playing this game on my parents Tandy 2500XL 286! It’s actually 100% digital and produced / performed on my audio workstation with zero live work :).

Wow! Me, I was just happy to play the game, because I had never played anything like Wolf 3D before. Furthermore, when I upgraded the computer to a 386 CPU I also bought my first soundcard (it was the first Soundblaster card). Long story short, it blew me away (it was like a night and day kind of difference). Really? That's very impressive =)

I like this SO much! This is the best remake of Wolfenstein 3D soundtrack I've ever heard! Also, my personal favourite is Nazi Anthem, it's really sounds like ACTUAL March without that goddamn whistling. But anyway, what about other compositions? What happend to Hitler Waltz? What happend to Roster? Victors? And my another personal favourite, Pounding Headache? I'd really like to hear them also :)

actually, the "Kill the SOB" track in the mod was made by Nautilus, who composed it for a currently unfinished Half Life 2 Wolfenstein 3D Deathmatch mod. ZioMcCall took it and put it in his mod afterwards.

It’s not classified as classical music, what you’re looking for are film soundtracks. Start with Jerry Goldsmith (particularly Rambo First Blood part 1 and 2 and King Solomons Mines), Hans Zimmer, and of course John Williams.

You mean the main menu theme that's the first in the video? The only thing missing is the title screen music, which is the Nazi anthem - which is ALSO the E2M1 music, which is included here anyway.
