I don't think that their introduction "Schutzstaffel", is completely random. The SS was the most fierce german unit to encounter during WW2. Guess by introducing who they are they expect both to scare and get the respect they think they deserve from the enemy.

I thought the guards said "HUZZAH!" but with the pronunciation thing as in "nazi" where there's a sort of t sound before an s sound. I also though the officers said "BIOCK" upon waking up.
It's not clickbait, it delivered exactly what it promised in the image, and since that was the very first thing, you didn't have to wade through the whole video to get it, which is the opposite of clickbait, where you sit through the whole movie and either never see it or it happens after like 10 minutes.
When I was really little, I didn't know that other languages existed yet so I thought it was in english. So like the regular soldiers always sounded like they were saying "HOTDOG!", The blue dudes sounded like "Goose shuffle" and "my name is... *dies*". I do speak fluent dog though and "woof woof" actually translates to "Where's the beef?"

Another common interpretation for Gretel Grösse's death sound is actually "Mein Busen" meaning "my breasts". Which makes sense considering how ridiculous all of them are.

1:25 is "Donnerwetter" with R at the end and may be translated to "Gosh", "Golly" or even "My Goodness!". "Donnerwetter!" often has also a negative meaning, e. g. the person is upset when using it. Anyway thanks for the compilation. 😀

"Eine" like the English "a" (Eine Taube / a pigeon) (As I am thinking how to explain it I get where they got the error) The words "eine" and "ein" both reference to "a" but we Germans like to make them "female" or "male" For example: Cat (female) -> eine Katze Cat (male) -> ein Kater "kleine" would also reference to a female. Accrurate would be "Ein kleiner Amerikaner" instead of "Eine kleine Amerikaner". You could also say that Blasko is female but then it would be "Amerikaner*rin*".
Sorry! The translation is partly incorrect. The guard is saying "Halt! Wer da?", I would translate it to "Stop! Who's there?". When Otto Giftmacher is dying, he says "Donnerwetter" that would translate in english something like "Thunder weather". But all in all thanks for the translations! I didn't really understand all the spoken german words while playing it. And I am german.
Hey, Thomas. Thanks for your comment. The reason why you don't understand is because this game uses 'pseudo-German'. It's a pretty inaccurate German spoken by American actors. Das good heavens passt perfekt, es geht ja wohl kaum um eine wortwörtliche Übersetzung. Auf Englisch würde kein Mensch je "thunder weather" sagen, wenn er was zu Fluchen hat. XD

Im Englischen gibt es mehr als genug Entsprechungen, wie das genannte "good heavens" oder von mir aus auch "bloody hell" je nach Situation und/oder Herkunft des Sprechers.

It's quite unlikely that a member of the German military would say "Mein leben!" when they die. They'd be more likely to say "Scheiße!" (Shit!) or "Verdammt!" (Dammit!) "Achtung" is also quite unlikely to be said when spotting an enemy, so "Still stehen!" (Stand still!) is probably more fitting.
After all these years i finally find out what these badly mangled words are supposed to mean. Sure felt gangster playing this in 1995 since distributing the game was of course illegal in germany..
She actually said "My boobs" in German. I'm not kidding, look it up. She meant to say "My repentance!" instead. Verdamnt if I know how they screwed that up.
