Muscle memory is definitely a part of it, but don't be mistaken because he certainly is thinking about it... he's playing along with the music in his head. This helps the brain and fingers sync. Technically, we cannot feel without thought, and without feel, all he will think about is "don't screw up". And we all know the usual results lol
@@hello-rq8kf any professional guitarist will say the same, but i'm sure you're at the level of the likes of paco de lucia to be saying such moronic things
This piece of music was written originally for harpsichord or piano, but I believe that it immensely more difficult to play on the guitar. To master this piece requires not only dexterity, but an incredible amount of memory. There may be only a handful of guitarists in the world that can play this. Music, Maestro!
This is truly one of the most amazing things you can hear on a guitar. I myself play classical guitar, violin, piano and various types of accordion. No instrument is easier than the other. I play march A la Turka on the piano and I certainly know how difficult it is and would never even come up with the, for my part, damned idea to give me on it for guitar. But Williams Kanengiser really plays it in an absolutely masterful way and makes all the episodes come into their own. Even the broken octaves and the most difficult of all on the piano, I think, at the end of the piece where the left hand on the piano plays in the same rhythm as the right ditto.
@@guiguijol not posting my identity on youtube so i can prove myself to a literal nobody. here's a piece i can play that is harder than turkish march, also objectively light years better musically ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3F9AY3GODDk.htmlsi=aInWFaBUVGrJjwc9
First I thought it was impossible to play this masterpiece on guitar until I watch this amazing man play it flawlessly. I can watch this video a whole day long.
You must practice all day on the classical guitar, you must have ambition like Bruce Lee, all this so your compositions will be remembered it's the joyful life of a virtuoso composer to live in public view instead of hiding in the shadows of the old masters
I studied classical guitar at USC in 1987 and Wil was my instructor. He played this for me and I was blown away. He had this little trick trill he did with his right hand when he played it at the time (not played in this version) but I can honestly say that after watching him play it that I never wanted to learn a song more.
Ha ha ha - hell yeah!!! This man has the perfect features for a weathered romantic looking bronze or marble monument to be raised where musicians, the lonely and the twisted may pay homage!!! Hail to The Mastery!!!
Bill is the kind of musician who really doesn't have to try very hard. He just leans back lets his fingers do the work, and he enjoys the music. Having seen him in person he is phenomenal.
My husband too was a guitar player I watch him played mauro Giuliani piece Beethoven too..but this dude has played something I haven't seen in my entire life..Woo.. Mind blowing.. Dude.. ❤
God! I couldn`t think of a better interpretation for this piece! He plays like he is playing a tune for his family barbecue, with such a fluidity! And he really grasps the soul of the music with those perfect staccatos. I would never be able to play like this.
Ive been playing for 30 years and without a doubt, hands down the best guitar work ive ever seen bar none! The bar has just been raised far out of sight and now I know for sure, mastery such as this I can never reach!
In all seriousness, the people downvoting this video need to be seriously studied for scientific reasons. Have a feeling not liking this video is related to many things not right with the human brain.
