I had some more in the pipework however there are a lot of limitations with the BETA due to lag, bugs and a few other things. Once these are taken care of I'll be uploading a lot more of wolfpack! Glad you're enjoying them

I am by no means a radio expert.... however what is the point of the encryption if you send the rotor settings (the key) in plain? Having these, everyone with a functional enigma could decrypt the message. My understanding is that there was a codebook on all U-Boat telling the plugboard settings, which rotors to use and what is the initial rotor setting for the day. Then the message itself could be uniquely coded, but the message key would have been sent already encrypted, all naval unit having their enigma set up the same way.

I see what you're getting at however there are current limitations within Wolfpack where it has to be done a certain way to ensure the person on the other end receives the message, I am still playing with the radio station to make it as realistic as possible

A shame they didn't implement the plug and rotor settings for the Enigma. Though, I suppose those would have made it more complicated than is needed for gameplay.

Yeah I think simplicity is key with the enigma, it's already a complicated machine and it works great as is

To be fair, in practice, those settings were generally only altered once per day. So it's easy for the game to assume it had already been done for each mission/encounter.

Still, they could have made this a little more realistic. It should be teaching players how it was actually used as simply as possible. immersing them in a plausible way. Not completely re-inventing the correct procedures.
