April 2016 marked the 40th Anniversary of local radio in Wolverhampton, which had begun with Beacon Radio 303 in April 1976. To mark the anniversary, the current local station WCR FM ran a weekend of special programmes and a number of the original presenters from across the complete history of Beacon Radio were invited to take part in reunion shows.
Interviewer Lee Bannister had worked at Beacon Radio from 1989-2000 and took the opportunity to catch-up with as many of these presenters as possible.
In this episode Lee speaks with Gordon Astley, who had been with Beacon Radio 303 during the 1980s.
