Seriously! It's so ridiculous that they didn't have the iconic costume until just now. And he looks great! So much better than the black-leather Matrix jumpsuits they used to have all the movie X-Men in.
“Killing mostly” was such a badass response. This truly felt like Wolverine from the comics. Watching Hugh in this movie really made wolvy feel like a tank of a character.
You know, a nice touch of this movie is when he agrees to join the mcu Deadpool gets a bright clean red suit. But by the end when he ultimately saves/remains in his home universe with the fox characters, the suit has gotten so dirty with the dirt and blood that it's now the same shade of red as the first 2 deadpool movies that were made under fox.
Hugh Jackman, Robert Downey, Chris Evans, Ryan Reynolds, they don´t care being in real life and be called as the characters they played, because they are the characters. You don´t see this with other actors who get bothered if somebody calls you by the characters' names they play in movies.
The shop behind them called 'Liefeld's just feet' is a nod to the comic artist Rob Liefeld, one of the creators of Deadpool and infamously known to always avoiding drawing feet when possible, cause he sucked at it and knew he sucked at it.
I have gotten a LOT of hate over the years because i seemed to be the only Wolverine fan who did NOT want to see the yellow suit and mask in a live action movie. I always thought it would look ridiculous. While everyone else was complaining that we never got to see it in the past, I was 100% fine with it. Because what looks good in a comic book illustration (or in animation) doesn't necessarily mean it'll look good in a live action world. I love Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, but i just couldn't picture seeing him in that silly suit and mask (not that the other suits were much better). But now, after all these years, seeing the suit on Hugh Jackman now in this film, I can honestly say.....my opinion has NOT changed.
really cool to see everything comic related still be done in post by the local community colleges film students. would really suck if the visuals looked good.
It was precisely to avoid this type of spoiler that I went to see the film on the first day of release 🙂 . So much amazing too see that scene on big screen.
Gotta stop using iconic for every littlething, and by saying that I realize people will tell me "you're right but THIS is iconic" just like everybody does 🤦🏻♂️
Oh Yeah Go Wolverine your The Best Go Wolverine Oh Yeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh Please make one more movie Wolverine, I have extremely high fever for you❤Wolverine❤ WOLVERINE WOLVERINE WOLVERINE WOLVERINE Yeah❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Its a shame this movie was rated R with over the top cursing and violence! From 1960 to 1996 the Marvel Comics was nothing like this and made their stories work and action sequences work without being over the top like the movie.
I feel like the eyes worked better on the deadpool mask. I think its the size. A lot of pics have the white parts smaller and in a lot of the scenes, they look quite large. At the 32 sec mark, wolverine mask eyes look like 50% larger. Its not as apparent in this scene as in later ones as they start to tear through all the deadpools imo.
@ThomasLittle007 That might be true but I think it's more than the costume. Everything about this version screams Wolverine. From the way he talks to the way he fights the original version they used I'm Fox was basically Clint Eastwood with claws this is Logan
@@ThomasLittle007 It was an edgier time. It took the Avengers to realize you could do superhero costumes right. But, Deadpools white eyes are CGI, so I assume Wolverines are too. Back in the day, the CGI wasn't that good, so they couldn't pull off the white eyes properly most likely.
@neoasura Storm had white eyes in the original films. Every reason they ever gave for deviating from the comics were BS excuses because they were hung up on mis-perceptions about comic books in general. All the best CB movies are closer to the source material, all of the best costumes are closer to the source material. Brian Singer was too busy holding his nose over the fact that he was making a Superhero movie(and sexually harrassing people), to actually deliver fully on what he was adapting.
I really wish they had kept the blue shoulder pads on the costume after the sleeves are ripped off. The hot toys figure still has them and it just looks so complete with them there.
@@KelShu yeah but from where? didn't look like he had that behind his neck/head the entire time. but i think it's just the cg artists being like "ah fuck it"
I remember I was laughing at the Rob Liefeld's joke in the store's sign behind Wolverine, and choked when I saw the cowl and tried to gasp while still laughing
Something about Wolverines crouch here is just not right. I think he needs to get lower and curl his wrists more? I mean, I'm just saying... overall its fucking amazing!
For those that don't get the joke. Rob Leifield was an artist that had a... reputation for drawing cronenberg abominations and called them characters. he was notoriously terrible at drawing feet. I mean he was terrible at drawing everything, but the deformed wall of muscle look was sorta the in look at the time so it worked out.
That mask just looks perfect on Jackman. He will always be my wolverine. If they ever recast a new wolverine for the MCU he has impossible shoes to fill.
