Yeah In hindsight!! Jota never wanted to be here we were not big enough for him..but his boss mendes sent him here with all the other ego players! Nuno wanted to replace jota with podence! That's the rumours. Now jota has been injured over 10 times, hasn't played a full season for Liverpool.? He's nearly 28 and his value has started going down..all.in all good business since he is injured most time and value is plummeting.
Wasn't jota near 80 mill euros value 18month ago? Way below that now. Vitihna, neto younger mid 20s and worth way more now. More ceiling and on profit potential.
With Jota the Wolves not only climbed out of the Championship but also qualified for Europe. Not saying that it was only because of Jota that this happened but he was a critical factor. Jota was sold for 41 million and has played for Liverpool since 2020 scoring 41 goals despite the injuries. Since he left, the Wolves have been from the relegation zone to mid table at best.
Friedkin looks like he is taking over at Everton. Several other potential buyers were in the mix including a Saudi consortium, Vici Private Finance and MSP Sports Capital so they are out there. Whether the Chinese link would be attractive or not is debatable, but we should be just as attractive a proposition as Everton ( who have at least shown ambition with a new stadium ) you would think.
I dont gamble at all and am. indifferent to it, but banning betting sponsors is going to really hurt clubs in the Prem. Bigger clubs have a variety of sponsors to choose from, but Chevrolet and Teamview wont be sponsoring Crystal Palace and Luton Town.
Just a thought. As Fosun are a Chinese company. I wonder if they are being directed to what they can spend on by the Chinese government. With another investor in the club , would this give them wiggle room to avoid having to follow these instructions. Still think a sale is going to happen.
Goodness, that's a lot of stuff, Dave. The squad could be unrecognisable next season! I hope Gary O'Neil has a settled squad for pre-season preparations. Too many late changes to personnel and the new season will be upon us before everyone is properly incorporated into the squad, their qualities, strengths and weaknesses assessed and the formations and team tactics well establiished and being executed with the quality, ease and speed needed to get a good start in the new campaign. dylanwolf in the billtyq.
Yes a lot of changes but thankfully a lot of the ‘outs’ are fringe players or players that were out on loan. Hopefully 1/2 more in before they start in July!
Bit disgruntled with the sponsor situation. It can’t be a good look for the club having a dodgy illegitimate betting brand with less than 20 facebook followers and no active website on the front’s of shirts. Surely raises questions about the owners?
At this current time. If I was a serious investor - there is no way I'd part with my cash whilst Shi is making the decisions. The way that guy has wasted someone else's money over the last 3 years in particular - is frightening. Yet he is still in the same position with a pay rise
Until he leaves, I don't believe Neto will go. We were told Neves was leaving every summer for 3 years until he eventually left. If Neto does go, yeah it'd be a shame, but he's rarely fit and if we can get a good fee for him then fair play. I trust in Hobbs
Have to look at the situation with neto who's going to spend big bucks with a player who has spent most of the season on the side lines think we all know where we need to streathen so many loan players to generate money let's have faith with G O N
Looks like Fosun want a Manchester United type of deal where the new partner spends money on player recruitment and also redevelops the stadium and the infrastructure. Time for Fosun to contact Sheikh Jassim.
In a "normal" football world any sport director spending £60m on a player with Neto's injury record would be reckless. He's a class player ofc, but he's not available enough! That being said, sell him before he gets another knock, but £60m seems too much with his risk. Then again, silly money is floating about in the business, so perhaps one of the sheikh clubs will just splurge out. But hey, what do I know? And yet another betting/casino sponsor...🤔🤨 Fosun out!
Correct me if I am mistaken, but do we not have one of the smallest squads in the premiership? Surely we should be bringing players in not selling them.
Selling neto is a big mistake the club have just put the season ticket prices up . We need our best players to compete. No wonder the fans aren't renewing
As per Fabrizio Romano wolves have beaten Chelsea to the signing of Brazilian right back wonder kid Pedro Lima for a rumoured fee of £8.4m on a five year deal Subject to customary conditions
Selling Neto is a good decision because his continual injuries by his over exuberance, so we need to sell him before the buyers realise the injury record! I like Neto, he is my favourite player but we need to strengthen the team!
Hi Dave. Get 40 million for Pedro & send him on his way. He complains too much for us helping him through his injuries to do us any good. let us help him on his way out 🧡🖤👍
They have assets under management of $114 billion, revenue of $28 billion. But they’ve had to deleverage their portfolio to improve their poor liquid cash position. I think you’re being slightly unfair mate. The profit and sustainability rules have placed a lot of obstacles to the level of investment they can inject in regards to players. They’re in the process of aggressively pursuing outside investments, they’ve recruited Moelis & Company to find additional investment. At present it’s for investment not a complete takeover.
FF fucking P mate check the damn regs for fuck sake. All clubs had the wings clipped. Despite anyway fosun lost billions in assets during covid!!! Google it bro!
