I had a ginger & white cat, just like this , ( Toffee), also adopted late, when he was probably about 4 & not neutered. He had made friends with another cat , TR Monday, ( a kitten that somebody had dumped by my flat) & they made friends. I decided to keep them both & we lived together very happily till they both eventually passed away. A wonderful relationship experience for me & them, I think . ❤

I appreciate this woman so much. She and her husband chose a good one. This cat so adorable and so verbal, they are a very lucky couple to have come across such a special boy, I love it when they talk! In 1994 I adopted a female rescue cat that was in rough shape. However, she was a golden tabby with amber eyes and I fell in love with her. She was the most gentle creature you could imagine, and we gave her a good life. I miss her to this day.

I feel you. I adopted a kitten, a tabby, in 1998. He was by my side for 19 years. To this day I regret so much thinking about how I could've made his life better and happier 1000 different ways. Good to know you gave your cat a good life.

How sweet! I adopted my guy in 2020 The agency called to discuss how he wasn’t very social I learned that he and his litter mates were born in a back room with no human contact I live alone and by week 3 I couldn’t shut him up! 😂 He wakes me with a certain call then the food meow pet meow etc! I’m retired and now disabled and I love every minute of it! ❤

Cats have us figured out long before we figure them out, and why not? They have been around millions of years longer than we have. What is charming is how patient and tolerant they are with us when we fail to pick up on their signals. There is a place in Heaven reserved for owners who show so much love toward these beautiful creatures. Perhaps a Small creature, but also a Great creature.

Well said...One of my cats had been obsessed with licking a particular spot of my other cat's jawline and would also jump on my lap in short bursts. It was a sign that I did not pick up on right away...Shortly after we found out our ginger boy (Pawpaw) had mouth cancer in that exact spot. They definitely are great creatures.

My little GiGi is 13. I adopted her from a vet who fixed her after she was ran over by a car as a stray. It took over a year for her to actually warm up to me trust me. She had it rough. She's been with me since early 09 and she is just like this cat. Talk talk talk talk. I love her.

I adopted a cat from the Humane Society. Afterwards I was told by a vet that he had stomatits. I didn't return him to the Humane Society. I paid $1500 to have all of his teeth, including the roots, removed. After the surgery, he gained weight and his health improved. He was a marvelous cat. RIP Morris. Thank you for taking care of your little, vocal cutie!!

It's amazing how stomatitis can change a personality! I have had 3 cats in the past who required full mouth extractions at a young age. Their suffering of this disease is relentless. Their full purrsonalities explode when they find that suffering isn't a part of life!!!! You baby is amazing!! I could listen to him all day💜💜💜💜

My last cat was a tabby, he talked whenver I talked to him, he was sooo super relaxed I could toss him 5 feet in the air and he'd let me catch him, no panicking or scratching, he would walk with me around the block no leash, he never got to any fights with other cats even though they tried, he didn't know how to play with strings or balls much, really no interest, friendliest cuddliest cat ever, I miss him. 🙁

Reddington is a sweetie-pie. It's such a pity he has had all the health conditions that have required far more care and expense than most people would ever sign on for. Most people have pets for their own selfish reasons, it's wonderful that you are such a kind and generous caregiver to these two sweet fluffy people you love and appreciate you so much. Even if they don't necessarily convey their thank yous in words, their gratitude seems evident. Such a lovely family!

My older kitty is pushing 16 and the second I feel something is off, I take him to the vet or worse the kitty ER. I take no chances with his health. There is no amount I wouldn't pay to make sure his quality life is the best it could be. I would sooner go without them for him to. I've vowed if I ever adopted any animals after him, they would be special needs / elderly. Every animal deserves to have happiness. ❤

It’s not that people are “selfish” and don’t *want* to pay for vet care; many people *can’t afford* vet bills, which are easily as much if not *more than* human medical bills.

I adopted my little guy,also a ginger tabby, who recently passed at 15 , he was also 5-6 yrs old when I took him in, and the people moved away and left him.I knew them and there was no excuse. I don't understand heartless people like that! I am so glad he came to you with such a loving heart to be his Mom. All we can do is know we gave/ give them the best life they could have and that they know they are/ were loved... Many blessings to you and your family 🌹

I adopted a feral kitten and puppy together when they were 6 months old. They both had a really rough start. We’ve been together 7 years, and they need a lot of attention. Both like daily reassurance that I’m glad I chose them. Every night after dinner, we have Big Cuddles and brushies. I smother them with love and they eat it up ❤️

He's a darling...so are you...looking after seniors is great. And true strength & courage.Will you pray for the continued good health of my 15 yr senior sweetie Simba doggie..she is amazing.She's with me off streets since 5 years. She was emaciated, had a prolapsed uterus, a twisted front left leg from previous injury, & a bit of her tongue chewed off from another vicious doggie.She's fine now, she loves to be in the backyard except summers, & tolerates my 4 pet squirrels that come down from surrounding trees...screeching for peanuts!! God bless you dear for bringing your darling cat to a point where he vocalizes his needs. I had stray twin kittens Bosky & Sputnik and Bosky talked a lot. He was best friends with our 17 yr old dog Leo! We always raised strays, & I'm always trying to convince people to adopt strays. They are the ones in dire and true need.
