Thank you for reading my original novel of a post and my reply is the same lol... I have to explain a bit so maybe what I share can help someone else. 🙂💜💙 You're right Donna, that having animals keeps us through the worst of times and make a huge impact on our lives. My pets are my children because I can't have children due to the extent of my disabilities but that's okay. I'm adopted so I know that's a great option for my future if I decide it's something I want and can do. I'm lucky that I live with my brother who married my best friend lol, and they have 2 adorable girls that I love to death and in a way are like my kids. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, POTS, Mass Cell Syndrome, and a lot more going on, so unfortunately I do live everyday in pain and that will never change. However, I don't want people to pity me or feel sorry, just try your best to be understanding of my disabilities, ask questions because that's okay, and be respectful of how I live my life. My pain is a constant but I don't let it get me down and control me. I choose to be happy, positive, silly, sarcastic, crazy cat mom, and the favorite Auntie because I'm a child at heart. Holding onto your inner child is very important I think and very powerful because it keeps you going. I used to be a Special Education Teacher so I'm built to think differently and do things way outside the box lol, so I'm okay with how I am. I've had 8 major surgeries all before I turned 35 this year. I'm proud of my battle scars and I made it through each surgery from the support of my family and pets. Some people think cats are aloof and incapable of expressing love like dogs, but they are way off lol. All my cats have individual, unique, purrfectly pure-hearted, playful, prissy, pretty personalities lol 😁🙂🐱. They stayed with me, offered to make biscuits, rub on my freshly coated Chapstick covers lips lol and play on my level until I was recovered. They choose to stay with me a lot, which kinda surprised me lol, and hang out in my room that's basically there's. I have a bed but they've claimed most of it, my drawers, closet, under my bed and even have a litter box and 6 foot tall luxury cat post. And I'm only 5 feet tall! The moral of the story...animals have personalities, souls and spirits, so cherish them while you can. Don't let whatever you have going on in your life take over because there's all help and it's there if you reach out. I also want to wish you the best Amelia. I totally understand what you're saying about your beautiful fur family. I suffer from depression and anxiety amongst other things but my 2 beautiful cats and 1 pup are everywhere I am. I can't leave a room without each of them following me. To be honest, I wouldn't be here if it weren't for them, though I'm not going to dwell on that as I'm hoping the worst is over. But animals have such an intrinsic bond with their people that a lot of others just can't understand. That bond works both ways and we will do anything and everything for them as they do for us. Hi Monique from Colorado, USA! I am so happy for you! 😁🥰 Animals really do build unique connections with people in their family but especially those who need them most. My cats love everyone but they are glued to me lol. They do things for me not just because of my disabilities but I think, to show how much they love their impurrfect, purrfect mom lol. My 2 newest cat rescues come when called, by their name, only to me lol and go to the bathroom when I ask them too. I tried asking them to go potty before we went to the vet so they wouldn't be as nervous and make a mess in their crate. And we all know how much fun it is to bathe a cat that's convinced your trying to kill it lol. But since then, they do a lot of things for me and I just adore them and I've become more humbled than ever before. I rescue animals because I know they need me and a safe space to live, be loved, be silly and mischievous, and cuddle. Who knew they would end up saving me? 🥲🥰 Thank you Monique for reply and kind words and I wish all the best for you. I know are situations are different and yet the same lol, so I just wanted to say (this is part humor and sarcasm cuz that helps me a ton but if it's not your thing, Let me know and I will fix it and apologize)... Hang in there on the rough days because every minute that goes by where you're being loved by a fur baby, a person, or even yourself, will help lift that heavy veil of yuck and then you'll be back out there, cooking on the Barbi lol, chasing Kangaroos and working on your tan, surfin at the beach, simultaneously being shark bait but more like shark exercise cuz girl you know you're fast. And at the end of the day, you go back home and things aren't bad at all. The doom and gloom was beaten out by the 🦘roos and all your family and fur babies are ready for round 1,458,492 of love, cuddles and play just for you. Love you Monique! Yes it is. I love all breeds of dogs but there is something extra special about a great dane. They’re the most gentle giants ever!
