That was a lovely adventure you chose ,to build with your dad was a gift . The thought you put into what you needed to be successful. Enjoy your journey .
You mention fixing the warped wood with better quality wood but I believe you should seal both sides (in a van environment) with oil-based polyurethane. Some of the moisture is just from your breath on a cold night while sleeping. Very nice design though! The water filter idea might be useful for us because we've just been buying bottled water and having to store it somewhere (not for dishwashing though). We always forget to put the water bottles in the sink before we drive and they end up on the floor every time. Also the pull-out desk is a great design, and the mirrored door into the cab area.
I love the design of Savanna - quaint and cozy. You have done a fantastic job - quite innovative. I especially like your decluttered looked and the way you organized your space. God bless you in all you do. Marie from South Carolina.
The bed step idea is genius! I'm stealing the idea for my van! Beautiful build! Have you thought about a peephole to see into the cab before opening your mirror door? Could be another safety feature. Thanks for the tour!
Wow Alyssa, you are the tour guide! and designer! and thoughtful sharer of good info! Thank you so much. I love your attention to detail. Joni, I often avoid long videos because but am so glad I watched this! Thanks for bringing her to us! BTW When and where is a winter gathering happening? Perhaps I should check out the FB page? much gratitude for all you do!
Lovely build you both done well & it’s decorated tastefully, if I do have a van in the future I will be definitely putting a door to the cab for the same reason also you got access to get to the drivers seat in case you needed to go quickly! Have fun & stay safe 😃
Very nice build! Congratulations! Something good came out of the pandemic aftr all considering how many people have said building a van/bus/whatever is what they did during that time!! Enjoy your sweet little home, it’s a keeper! Vaya con Dios!
I love that she said you can search the FB group for answers! One of my pet peeves is seeing the same questions posted five times every week....resulting in the same three answers time after time.
Great job. The first time I've seen an 'all in one' computer mounted in a van. I have a 27" all in one and want to use it for all my video needs as well as my computer work. I am going full-time in Nov. I may have questions re: the swivel mount you used.
Young people these days are so wise. I think having educated parents and your own additional education after high school helps. It has taken me a lifetime to learn the wisdom the young already have today.
This is an absolutely beautiful build out. I love it. I'm wondering if you might have a link for the expandable wall mount for the computer monitor. It's exactly what I have been looking for to use in my van build. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Happy and Safe Travels to you!!
you've got a great van. I love your working table top--looks strong and steady. Only thing you do not have a small shower otherwise the decor really looks great. Happy travelling and living in the van. God bless
I am interested in knowing about the water filter for the drinking water. It didn’t look like a Berkey and I am very interested in knowing the brand. Thanks so much. Very nice bill by the way
It would have been nice to see your van. The person behind the camera thinks thinks we are here for the person not a van tour. It's fine to do that at the end but we are here for the van tour.
