Just about everything better: Everything was more affordable, jobs were more available, kids could play outside without worrying about child predators, TV had better content, people were more family oriented, no entitled teens or women running around, no being influenced by social media. Oh, you mean pre-globalisation... That doesn’t fit in with capitalism, which is what the west started and pushes... Capitalism is about cheap Labour and maximum profit at the expense of everyone. African countries kept poor because the west underpay them for their resources, and as a result millions flee to the West for greener pastures (basic amenities). Mass number of people in the West means more competition for jobs, therefore wages are kept low as everyone scrambles and accepts crumbs. The point is. If the West paid the correct price for resources abroad, those countries would have enough capital to develop their own countries, and cater to their people...but they don’t...and it’s intentional, they don’t want those countries to develop. It’s not in their interest. Besides, the rich white elite get richer anyway...and everyone suffers🤷🏾‍♀️

I moved there in 2021 from New England and just moved back to New England this year because it’s pretty freaking horrible. Carjackings happened there every single day. Shootings were getting worse and worse each year. You always had to watch your back and pray you’ll be okay.
